    Nice, but the iPhone is way out of line with what was even imagined in 1983. Replace it with a CRT and a light pen and you'd be closer. Check out the Minitel terminals of the time to get a sense of it...

    LCDs and other flat screen tech didn't start showing up until the early 90s.

    OK. So I just went to the website and ordered a Lisa with a 512 KB memory board upgrade which added $1495 to the cost and bumped up shipping from 2-3 months to 4-5 months. WTF Apple?!

    It sucks that you can't buy memory from a 3rd party. :(

    @frigg: You think that's bad, the 3.5" disks for my LiPod are back ordered for 6 months. Without a 25 pack, how am I supposed to rip that new Pat Benatar LP?

    @BoardShortin'_GitEmSteveDave: You may be able to score one of those new hard drives which would give you about 5 MB of storage for 10k. Yeah, i know that sounds pricey, but check it, you might even be able to sneak in a song from Flashdance as well!!! Can you really put a price tag on that much awesome?!

    I just recently recovered a Apple II black faced disk drive from a trash pile(sadly the Apple II had been literally beaten and burned with a soldering iron). I was then working in an electrical room at a building from the mid-80's, and they had a control unit that was the same beige as the old Apple's were, and I realized how much I liked that color. If anyone is wondering what is happening to the Disk Drive, I'm thinking of making it into an external drive enclosure.

    @BoardShortin'_GitEmSteveDave: Interesting... I think you just might be able to pull it off. I mean, if you're into that kinda thing.

    You should easily be able to fit more than one hard drive in it though, if you wanna turn it into an enclosure. Raid 'em up!

    @North Star: Of any of the editors here I'm sure Jesus knows Portuguese when he sees it. He may even know it well enough to distinguish European from Brazilian Portuguese, thus the comment (or he could just be being funny).
