It can also keep tabs on measuring speed, distance, and altitude—data that is automatically uploaded to Flaik servers and can be accessed anytime via a web-enabled device. There is even a social and safety component included in the system that will allow you to track friends and their stats and receive SMS messages when you wander beyond the resorts boundaries. The Flaik armband managed to nab this year's Australian International Design Award, but there is no word yet on when we might see it in production. <![CDATA[Action Jacket Armband For iPhone Lets You Jog And Rock]]> DLO's Action Jacket armband for the iPhone is perfect for the guy who likes to take his iPhone jogging with him (namely, me). The iPhone may be slightly heavier than a nano, not to mention many times more expensive, but can your nano make calls? What if you're waiting for an important call from your lawyer telling you whether or not someone's going to press charges? What do you do then? This is the answer. And if the Nike+iPod Sport Kit really is coming for the iPhone like we think it is, then you should grab one of these in anticipation. [DLO]

<![CDATA[Nike Updates Nike+ Armband - Now You Can Actually See the Screen]]> ipodnikeband.jpgNike's quietly rolled out a second-generation Nike+ Sport Armband for the iPod Nano, which incidentally fixes what could be biggest mistake on the first one: the inability to see the screen.

In the 2nd-gen version, Nike's cut a hole so you can see what the hell's going on with your workout, but it still keeps the same fabric and still holds the Nike+iPod receiver. It's $29.95, and you can grab one over at the Apple store. Too bad Nike didn't fix the problem we had, which was the instantaneous crushing of the iPod when we put this on our biceps because our muscles were too huge. Ha, ha. Just kidding. We have no muscles.

<![CDATA[DLO's iPod Shuffle Accessories]]> Stray dogs go where the food is, and accessory makers go where the money is. In this case, they're flocking to the iPod Shuffle, which by recent reports, seems to be selling pretty damn well despite its lack of a screen.

As a result, DLO just released two accessories for Apple's player. First is the DLO Action Jacket, which lets you insert the already clip-friendly Shuffle into an armband to wear on your bicep. The second is a DLO PowerBug, which is a USB cable and an AC adapter to charge up the Shuffle. The PowerBug is $22, and the Action jacket is $19.

<![CDATA[Sony Ericsson W710i With Armband: Hulkalicious]]> We respect SE's attempt to get into the jogger's market with the armband for their W710i. The only problem is the phone is huge, relatively, and putting it on your arm doesn't make it any thinner.

Compare this shot with a shot of a Nano armband. Much smaller, much sexier (thanks to the model), and it doesn't look like a tumor's made its way up your arm.
