It's a USB speaker, which is fine in itself, but in this case it lights up in one of seven different colors. But not only is it USB, you can throw in some aromatic liquid and have it diffuse out scents while you're jamming away to your iPod. And if you thought that you can only get your tasty aroma'd music next to a USB port, it's also battery powered. And it has an AM/FM radio. And it's only $30. [Brando]

<![CDATA[Japan's Sony Ericsson SO703i Smells Purty]]> No longer will you have to worry about your cellphone stinking up the place. Not if NTT Docomo and Sony Ericsson have anything to do with it. The SO703i is a cellphone that includes a slot for replaceable scented sheets that give off a pleasant smell. Up to 11 different smells are available. You may think you are hot stuff with that custom ringtone, but you don't have anything on my apple pie-smelling cellphone. Japan only—sorry, folks.

Excuse me, your phone is smelling... [telephony's wireless review]

<![CDATA[Aroma: Coffee Pot Alarm Clock]]> There is nothing like sleeping in a little on the weekend, and waking up to the smell of bubbling hot coffee...fragrance.

The tough part is when you stretch, realize that your "girlfriend" didn't make you breakfast, and discover that she stole your wallet on the way out.

We have no idea how it actually smelled because the unit was out of fluid. But the top was kind of sticky and nasty.

<![CDATA[USB Aroma Joule: Whole Lotta Stinkin' Goin' On]]> Great strides are being made toward that Holy Grail of olfactory goodness: Smell-o-Vision. First we heard about a scent recorder, and we've seen various USB stenchers, but now here's the USB Aroma Joule, reacting to sound and spewing out appropriate odors for whatever music it hears. At the same time, it gives you a cool-n-funky disco light show.

Connect it to your PC's USB port, and its accompanying software figures out what aroma is appropriate for certain kinds of music, spraying its scent in the air using an electromagnetic solenoid valve. Just peer into the innards of the thing! It looks like an evil brain from some science fiction movie. Available October 2, it'll be $430.

<![CDATA[USB Aroma Fan]]> Similar to the USB Stencher, the aroma fan combines two things we enjoy, wind and pleasant smells, to create the perfect gadget for the office.

Place scented aroma oil onto the leaf sponge, then place the sponge into the USB fan, plug it into your computer and wait for the smells of Rick the IT guy drift away.

Comes with 3 sponges and 1 oil bottle. Available for $15.
