@EncNone: I liked the iPhone back in it's first generation, but have since moved on to the Android market for it's root ability, and the tweaking I can do with HTC phones.
The iPhone still has some nice things about it, but I refuse to see it as a "Jesus Phone", but rather a false prophet, in that it has some good characteristics, but is too limiting and incapable of providing enough solutions for my daily use. It is a great casual use phone, however, and if you can use such a kit without draining the battery at the end of the day, then more power to you.
Myself? I like being able to run Debian on my phone, change up and "cook" my own custom Android kit, and work the phone exactly (or near) to how I want it.
There are other great kits out there, as well, and I can't knock them either. : )

"screen savers" (a past favorite of mine), but it's still got quality to it (even with the childish humor - not that it's a bad thing on TV.)
I've used some of the reviews of gadgets from the "Gadget Pr0n" segment to affect some of my purchases in the past, and they were usually spot on, and even used those analysis in past Gadget Pr0ns to see what it is that I might not like on demo kits that have come my way in one way or another.
Now, granted, alot of us miss the old ZD channel, and many of us miss TechTV, but even with the current iteration of Gadget Television, there is alot worth looking at in both AoTS and X-Play shows. If there were anything I'd get rid of, it's those stupid Cops and Cheaters shows that plague the screen half the time. Maybe I'd also ask for more variety in the "Movies that don't suck" column, and ask for a return of people like LaPorte for a new show in the vein of "Screen Savers" for us former TechTV watchers.

so you managed to notice all the apple coverage, but not the post indicating how to filter it out, and yet STILL had time to come in here and whine about it, off-topic?
So... THIS is your brilliant plan to rectify this heinous negligence of your daily entertainment needs?
Hang on i'm getting a call... it's BLam... he say's he's very sorry that the site is not meriting your approval, and he'll get off this irrelevant apple stuff, and right on with some Thanko USB posts, your majesty, and can you ever forgive him?
@Corwin Loreman: Normally I would be inclined to say something along the lines of "if you don't like the Apple coverage, just don't read it". I am fine with tons of Apple coverage as long as it is not to the exclusion of everything else. In the past, Giz has been great about putting in a few "general interest" articles, even when Apple events are going on. This does not seem to be the case today. Do you really need John, Sean, Jesus, Adam, Jason, Dan - basically everyone - ALL do Apple coverage? I mean, throw a bone to the non-Apple people here.
Everyone cares about July 4, for instance, but imagine if the NYT wrote only about Independence on that date. That is just not balanced coverage - what happens is that a disproportionately high number of reporters get to cover July 4, and others are assigned to other news, so that there is some diversity.
Of course, this is subject to preference. I know many people will disagree with me, and that is a perfectly fine. I just like to see some color splashed into the sea of Apple Apple Apple.
And of course, this is not really a big of a deal as my whiny post might make it out to be. I would just like to say this to recognize that Corwin Loreman above should not be persecuted for having a valid opinion.
You know, many moons ago I asked if G4 would ever interview a Gizmodo person, and I think I was answered with many replies like No. Is this a good sign or a bad sign? Where are the dogs and cats?
I've been having like a torrent of Chris Hardwick stuff in the last week - he was on the adam carolla podcast, then he filled in for the host of comedy death ray radio, there was a thing about his band "Hard and Firm"... and for the last 10 years, nothing, not a word about that guy.

Maybe I'll see it and Twitter how much I hate it as I watch it. Oh wait - my iPhone 3GS doesn't have enough battery life to last all 9 hours.

I know that the WWDC is a big thing but we are nearly one full page of Apple products now. No daily gadget deals or anything non-apple related?
