    For the color question, the red and yellow balls are for a different type of billard game different to our god-fearing american balls. It's called snooker, couldn't tell you the rules but that's why the colors are weird

    snooker is quite literally a whole different ball game. The yellow and red balls are used instead of solids and stripes (or whatever you call it) but it's still pool.

    @Wraithen: Aren't snooker tables larger than the standard billiards table?


    Plus, I thought Snooker had numbered balls 1-8 + a full rack (-1) of red balls? That's what I always played w/ when playing snooker in the past. Is this some variant?

    The blue light probably throws off the color of the balls. Thus the limiting of colors.

    Looks annoying. Although it would be slightly less bad if it lights up when you pocket a ball like a pinball machine.
