Just check out the specs:

• 2.16GHz Intel dual-core
• 13.3-inch WXGA, 3.8lbs, .4-.98 inches thick
• 250GB hard drive
• 3GB of memory
• Intel GMA X4500HD (OK, forget that part)
• External USB 8x DVD optical drive
• 3 USBs and memory card reader
• 802.11n and ethernet
• Microsoft Vista Home Premium (forget that part, too)

All-in-all, not a horrible looking little system for the price. Has anyone out there owned an Averatec rig before? [Press Release]

<![CDATA[$799 Batman's Black iMac Is Damn Cool Until You Turn It Around]]> If you think that aluminum is the new beige, gliding capes are the smartest complement for a cocktail party, and batarangs are the best way to fight crime, then the Averatec 22-inch D1005 all-in-one should probably be your new PC.

Until you turn it around, that is. But for $799, you will get:

• 2.5GHz Intel Pentium dual-core E5200 processor
• 320GB hard drive
• 3GB of memory
• Microsoft Vista Home Premium
• Full-size USB keyboard and mouse.
• Wi-Fi 802.11n
• 1080p video.

Why should I trust a company that says their flagship all-in-one has an "Intel Pentium dual-core" inside, I don't know. [Business Wire]

<![CDATA[Averatec D1200: A 25.5-Inch, 1080p All-In-One PC For $1000]]> Averatec's AIO efforts have always been budget conscious, and the D1200 is no different: Soon to be sold at Best Buy and Tiger Direct for $1000, the D1200 is a 25.5-inch, 1920 x 1200, TV-tuning exercise in value.

It counts a 2.5GHz Intel Pentium Core 2 Duo, inbuilt analog and digital TV tuner and remote, 8x DVD burner, 802.11n wireless, 4GB of RAM and a 320GB internal hard drive among its base specs, and all the little extras we've come to expect on AIOs like this—like a webcam, card reader, and wireless keyboard and mouse—are present. Unfortunately, this HD-capable quasi-TV doesn't come standard with a Blu-ray drive, and you'll have to wrestle with Vista, the only OS option. But still! $1000! [Chipchick]

<![CDATA[Averatec Makes iMac-Like All-In-One PC For $1249]]> Averatec's joining the XPS One and HP Touchsmart IQ506—among others—in the all-in-one PC game. What's notable about Averatec's beside its super generic "All-In-One PC" name? It's cheap. At just $1249, you get a 2.4GHz Intel E4600 Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, 320GB hard drive, nVidia GeForce 8400, a 22-inch screen and a copy of Vista Home Premium. It's not a performance monster, but it is a fairly affordable all-in-one for the space conscious. On the other hand, [PRNewswire via Digital Trends]

<![CDATA[Averatec Dual-Core Laptop a Snip at $849]]>

It seems like nary the blink of an eye since dual-core CPUs were the hottest ticket in town with all their fancy cutting-edge newness and yet here they are in budget laptops going for a hefty chunk less than $1,000 already.

Averatec's latest 4lb, 12.1-inch laptop, the Averatec 2300, features a 1.6GHz dual-core AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-50 processor, yet costs just $849. Considering the fact that there's also a dual-layer DVD writer and a roomy 100GB hard drive in there, we're looking at serious bargain territory here.

<![CDATA[Averatec AV1150-EW1 Ultra-portable Laptop]]> Averatec's releasing a small ultra-portable notebook that's not altogether wimpy in terms of power. It has an intel Pentium M 1.1 GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 80GB hard disk, dual layer DVD, USB 2.0, firewire, memory card reader and VGA port. Everything looks as good as a larger sized notebook except for the CPU, which needs to be smaller and draw less power due to this system's size.

No word on availability or pricing yet. Nice of Kate Beckinsale to take time off her busy Underworld-making career and pose for the photo.

<![CDATA[Averatec UMPC With Keyboard]]> Hrm... well this looks promising. Averatec has a UMPC coming out with a fold out keyboard a la the Sidekick and still maintains the bells and whistles stance of so many other UMPC manufacturers. Webcam—check. Thumbstick—check. Touchscreen—check.

No CPU info, but it's got at least 512MB, 30GB hard drive, WiFi, as well as embedded 3G phone connectivity. Promising.
