    I was under the impression that tourniquets were outmoded, and that the best thing to do (for both your life and your limb) is to apply direct pressure to the wound to stop bleeding. Unless of course the entire limb is gone.

    @txpunk: applying direct pressure to a cut artery does little to nothing compared to a tourniquet.

    Don't they have that quick clot stuff now that you pour into the wound?


    As for me, whenever I get a wound, like having my arm cut off , I take a med kit off of my leg, add some plaster board to my flame box, and make a paste to apply to it. Then I go and kick Danny Glovers ass.
