MMS - wow, I can't get all the distended anus pictures that my friends used to send me.
Landscape typing for text/email - what the fuck, Apple? Seriously. You can do it when using Safari to type in, "gizmodo", "mobile.youporn", or "lifehacker" and it's super great, but that's only a small word or phrase. When it would REALLY come in handy, you know, for typing an entire MESSAGE or story, you decide it's not something worth implementing. Something that everyone who uses the phone would benefit from. Especially those with banana hands or sausage fingers.
I love how the BB Storm commercial shows someone using landscape mode to type a message. This is pretty much the one thing at this point that really pisses me off about my iPhone and I really hope someone at Apple gets an arm or both his/her legs broken over this. You know, something that would be excruciatingly painful yet not life-threatening or permanent.

People love being told what they can do with products they bought, just like they like having poor audio quality in their mp3 players and a mark up on products based solely on brand.
Look, I like my iPhone so that I don't have to worry if Opera or MobileFox are better browsers. They very well could be but it's irrelevant to me because I am forced to use Safari.
Besides, I don't like some of the features in other phones. I can't imagine why I'd want background notification for chat, or full compatibility and push for my office email, or even a simple LED to let me know if I have messages waiting.
Sometimes, I don't think you understand technology, Adam.

You do realize that if everyone in the tech industry thought the same way as you, we would never have any progress. There would be no incentive to build better browsers, provide richer interaction, develop more robust communication systems, etc. We would simply develop one product and simply force everyone to use it.
You're still welcome to like your iPhone, but I wouldn't go around pretending that your views on technology are better than everyone else's.

I'm not particularly concerned about who got "FIRST!" in an article. That kind of tardcentric thinking is reserved for people who say it in forums. As long as the articles are generally clearly written, and the bias isn't *too* heavily slanted in any one manufacturer's corner, I'm ok. And by biased, i mean writing about one brand to the complete exclusion and utter denegration of the competition.
So, overall, Giz wins for me, and I don't go to Engadget at all anymore. If Giz takes longer, I generally assume it's because they are busier, and perhaps more thoroughly investigate the article they are reporting on.
