    About four months ago, I happened upon a powered 4-port USB hub by Belkin and haven't looked back. Most of their stuff is overpriced, but nary a problem on this end (where applicable).


    They are really getting reamed for this. And if it's true, which supposedly it is, they deserve everything they get.

    In a world where we have Linksys, D-Link and Netgear why would anyone purchase a Belkin product? I mean they started out making laptop accessories and knick knacks. So they got into the networking business, well they are the weak sister of that business and that much is obvious goo reviews or not.

    My belkin wireless router was the only one that has worked. Netgear and Motorola routers constantly dropped signals. I was researching some of their newer voip products and routers just the other day. Now, I just don't know what to trust--good past experience, or an allegation of recent fraud.

    @YasminBia: Anything + DD-WRT = Better than stock.


    But be careful with the v24 sp2 roms they are pretty buggy, go for one of the newest betas and you'll be fine.

    @thstimeitsmine: I had huge trouble with the linksys gear I had been using, and switched over to Belkin, based on reviews and word of mouth from friends*. I have never had one problem with the wireless router, nor with the dongles.


    I don't have a super advanced network, so I am probably not pushing the hardware, but I guess I am a lucky one who still can honestly say I like the product.

    I've had nothing but problems with Belkin networking gear. I end up sticking with the (sometimes) higher priced Linksys stuff or D-link.

    @Ryanraven: In my experience, D-Link has been absolute shit. I usually recommend Linksys or Netgear.

    @evangelistc01: I've only used a D-Link dongle for a card slot, so I have no stance on the routers. And as for the card, it was a present (i guess i screwed that person hmm?)
