For anyone interested here's a nice article with some decent photos of one of their cars (after they were bought by Precision Design, who also eventually folded) that someone else built.

Hmmm... there are two buildings in the listing... one for living (next to the river) and one for car/museum. So I don't think they removed the river from the movie...
the black and white picture above is, I believe, where the car launched from in the movie. And below is just forest...

Guys, Guys! You don't actually think that they kicked a real ferrari through the window of the real house into the real ravine below? They used the house for exterior shots but the shots were filmed on a studio lot...
That's why they call it "movie magic".

Little known trivia: Ferrari gave the Miami Vice production crew two black Testarossa's. Because of the challenges involved shooting night scenes (which didn't seem to be a problem with the Daytona since it was a convertible) the cars were repainted white. Also, there was a 'stunt double' Testarossa made from a DeTomaso Pantera. It was only used a few times during production. You can see it in any car scenes where the back windows are blacked out since they weren't acutally windows on the replica 'rossa. Here's some info on the car.
