    He's probably so relieved that he can now buy some decent MacPro machines for his staff, and a couple of the big Apple cinema screens for his personal cube.

    If I could, I would too. Come to think of it, if I had 2 million I wouldn't be working in a cubicle, but Bill has a mega work ethic. So, I say let's give the man a break. After all his company makes the best OS in the world. He deserves only the best in my book.

    For giz to get on anyone for pimping some nice gear is kind of surprising.

    This kind of "extravagance" (seemingly only applicable to us bloggers/readers) always confuses me: just how philanthropic exactly are these billionaires? Assuming this story is true, I am sure Bill could pimp his work dig with just $1M and donate the $1.5M "surplus" to people who really needs it.

    You can't blame him for pimping-out his new office... after all, he'll probably spend a lot of time in it. I'll bet it's got a 'safe room' or fallout bunker.

    i spent way more than him, and no one wrote about me on Giz :)


    lets see, i spend 80% of my monthly income, and save 20% only :(

    in his case he spent 2.5 mil this month, while he got 100 mil, so far he spent 2.5% of his monthly income.


    BTW, he should put some Apple stuff their, some iPods, iPhones, iMacs, and the new Macbooks, im sure he dont have time to wait until the Start menu pop up (about 3 seconds) on WM6

    Nor he has time to wait few minutes to find a file, better use Spotlight :)

    I try to think how to spend 2.5 million dollars and it's like impossible in my head. I'm sure I could do it but damn that's a lot of goods if you were just buying the norm of productware (new word!).
