The Walmart I was in in Southeast Missouri on Black Friday had numerous MO highway patrol officers AND a first-aid person on hand. I was kind of impressed.
Bought 3 (last 3 in store, actually) of those 20" Acer monitors at Best Buy for $79.99 each. One for my mom, two my cousin paid me back for for his wife and kid. Best Buy was crowded, but not so crazy that it was really annoying or anything.
Someone (yet to be determined who) will be selling me, er um, Santa, a PC in the next few days. (I am toying with them now by keeping a cart open at several sites and adding or taking away items as I see deals. One of them will evenutally see me click "Proceed to Check Out", but it will have to be a bloody deal to get my buck.
@SinisterBill prints in color on both sides: Thank you. I always look at the whole package deal and read the fine print in detail. Amazing stuff they hide in that tiny font. ;)
Anyone who was considering that cool iPhone app "ReelDirector [itunes.apple.com]" that's basically iMovie on your iPhone 3GS, it just went on sale from $7.99 to $4.99 today. Thank you, "BargainBin" app! (not affiliated with either product or developer)
I got an email from NewEgg early this morning regarding their Cyber Monday sale and I saw a SATA Blu-Ray writer drive for $129. I don't see it in your link, though. Maybe got sold out?
@BeyondtheTech: Ah found it in my browser history: [www.newegg.com] $129 for OEM 8X Blu-Ray burner with free media bonus until 11/30... is it worth it?
I got two b/g/n (2.5ghz only) USB 2.0 dongles from newegg for ~$10/ea, they sold out shortly there-after. It was the only good deal I saw where I had an immediate use/need for the item on sale...
Many of the deals relay on a pool of cash as well so once that pool is out of money the deal is no longer valid. I've made it in time to NewEgg deals 2/3 times one of which was Friday early morning.
Generally speaking with the big online sites they will leak the deal on FB or Twitter and they are out of cash with a quickness. Sometimes this is with a discount percentage like above or direct discounts on the site without waiting for the cash.
I'm currently too poor to do much more than window shop. I was amazed at the prices on blu-ray players tho. BB had a store brand for $99.00 and a Samsung for $149.00. Might have to break down and get one. I did buy Casino Royale for $3.99. I think I can afford $4.00
My haul is mostly Blu-ray movies, since I bought all of my electronics already:
1) Quantum of Solace - $10
2) V for Vendetta - $8
3) I am Legend - $8
4) James Bond 10-pack - $60 (really happy about this one)
5) Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - $13
6) Superbad - $10
7) Spiderman Trilogy - $30
8) Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 3.5" 1.5TB HD - $97
