The biggest one is about how CompUSA/Tigerdirect online "sale"—the one with the Sony Vaio TT with a $5,000 discount was apparently a total disaster, according to readers. Update: A guy from the CompUSA "sale" wrote to us. Readers keep posting their stories about other places in the comments.

WalMart Worker Trampled to Death by Deal-Crazed Black Friday Shoppers
OK, Black Friday has officially gotten out of hand. A 34-year-old WalMart employee was trying to hold back the crowds at a Long Island store this morning at 5am, when they took the doors off their hinges and stormed the store. The man fell down and was trampled by over 200 people as he gasped for air. It's sad and despicable, and it's equally the fault of the dehumanized shoppers and the WalMart store it happened at. The promise of a 50-inch Samsung plasma HDTV for $800, Xbox 360 bundle with Guitar Hero III and wireless guitar for $200, $128 Blu-ray player and $400 HP desktop got our hopes up that Walmart would swoop in to rescue our nerdy holiday. Create Honest Black Friday Ads to Reflect the Economic Climate
Things are bad out there, people. We're going to see a pretty sad holiday shopping season from retailers perspectives. Yet these Black Friday ads we're seeing, they look just like they do every year. I don't think they adequately reflect just how badly they want, nay, they need your money. Let's add a bit of that desperation into their advertising, shall we? More » -

Why You Probably Won't Find Amazing Sony Deals for Christmas
In the midst of the financiapocalypse, with consumers stuffing money in mattresses and sprinkling themselves with holy water to avoid the layoff plague, you might think companies like Sony would slash and burn their typically premium prices to move whatever HDTVs and Blu-ray players and cameras they could. Nope. We talked to Sony Electronics President Stan Glasgow this morning about why Sony is holding steady on prices and staying out of the low end, even as consumers are obviously looking spend less. He also dished about Circuit City's fairly grim prospects, Blu-ray sales not meeting expectations and why Sony knew the economy was going deep into the crapper in February, before Alan Greenspan. Question of the Day: Do You Plan to Gadget Shop on Black Friday?
To combat the economic crisis, many tech-retailers will have added incentive this year to offer deep discounts on their Black Friday merchandise. And, since most of us will probably be sticking to a strict budget, we have added incentive to fight the long lines to try and score a deal. Still, the thought of getting anywhere near a store on November 28th is daunting. So, my question is: are you one of the brave souls that plans to gadget shop on Black Friday? More » -

Office Depot Black Friday Ad Leaked
The closer we get to Black Friday, the more leaks we're getting and they are all proving to be kind of... well, mediocre. This one from Office Depot is not bucking the trend, but they do have a few good deals on smaller items. It'll be nothing to clamor for, arms flailing and shrieking like a harpy, at 6am on Friday morning, but if you happen by a neighborhood store, here's a couple things that could be worth dropping some cash on. Circuit City Looking to Close Another 150 Stores?
While Circuit City has already announced plans to close 155 stores nationwide, a reliable industry source tells us that the company is looking to close another 150 stores—with that announcement possibly coming in as little as two weeks from now. As for which stores close, it'll be a simple question of which locations remaining have the worst profitability. Black Friday looks to be a large indicator of how this whole scenario will play out. More as we get it.

Target's Black Friday Ad Leaked!
Oh my god, you guys. There's this thing called "Black Friday," and it's some kind of shopping day, right? And everything, everywhere, is cheap! You have to fistfight young mothers to get at the deals, but it's totally worth it. And Target, everyone's favorite friendlier version of Walmart, leaked some deals of their own. They've got an external 750GB USB 2.0 drive from WD for (puzzlingly) $88.88, an 8GB iPod nano with a $15 gift card for $145. Even more highlights after the jump. More » -

Sam's Club Black Friday Wii Deal Was "Ha Ha Ha" Not "Ho Ho Ho"
Sadly, the Sam's Club Black Friday deal featuring a Wii, three Wiimotes, three Nunchuks, and two games for $224 was just too good to be true. The good news is that the bundle will still be available at Sam's, be it for the higher price of $425. Seeing as this package includes $180 in controllers alone, shoppers will still be getting a pretty decent deal by scoring Mario Super Sluggers and King of Clubs Mini-Golf on top of the hardware. And this way no one will get killed shopping or anything. [Black Friday Ads via Kotaku] -

OfficeMax Black Friday Ad Leaked

Walmart Gadget Doorbusters Might Save Black Friday
The trifecta is complete: Best Buy and Circuit City's Black Friday ads are weak, disgustingly disappointing sauce, leaving it up to Walmart to save Black Friday. CNN Money gives us the first peek at the ad Walmart plans to reveal Nov. 24, and reveals that there's still hope since it's happily gadget heavy, with perhaps the most promising loot yet.
