    @MacAttack7388: Sorry to give you the bad news, but Apple switch to Intel hardware a few years back, so you are using essentially the same hardware now as any other PC. But, maybe the pretty Apple logo will save you.

    I think a bit of scepticism's in order, Giz. We've had about three stories about this in the past year, with phones instead of computers and each time they omitted that the victim was hit by a tonne of bricks, or shot, or run over, and that might've contribued to both their injuries and the mysterious phone damage.

    "Police said his charred body was found in a sitting posture. "We are yet to ascertain the cause of the blast. The computer was completely damaged and the deceased was charred," a police officer told TOI."


    Indeed, we do NOT yet know the whole story, and it was only referred to as a "computer", no mention of it being a laptop.

    I mean, a laptop battery having a meltdown is nowhere in the same league of

    MUTHAFUCKINSCARY

    as a computer which explodes and burns you to death. Subliminally or not, are we now not just a tiny bit more leery of a DELL laptop?
