These Window Blinds Are Better than Most Views

I like this idea very much: Instead of normal blinds to hide horrible views—and make horrible interiors—use one of these Better Views roller blinds. You can get night cityscapes showing Paris, Tokyo, Helsinki, and Stockholm.

Unfortunately, the 100% black polyester perforated roller blinds are limited to 1,000 units each, at $475 each. A great idea by the talented Elina Alto, hopefully waiting to be mass produced by IKEA. [iukbox via Mocoloco]

Hey girls, can't decide whether or not to wear that midriff-bearing shirt out to the bar tonight? Sure it's ridiculous, but it's also one-of-its-kind, and available only at art museums for the time being. Beat Blinds Make Window Coverings Both Musical and Annoying

With most of the Giz staff being apartment dwellers, we try to have as many dual function devices as possible, hence our love of gadgets. But we draw the line with Beat Blinds musical window covers. Surely there can't be anything more annoying than being woken up by someone banging out a xylophone rendition of "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" followed by a gentle "good morning."
