Cool as the Tumbler was, the Batpod trumps it.

No, Batman & Robin was an abomination. Batman Forever was just a modest travesty.

The Tumbler is a bad one to try to recreate because of how robust your rear differential needs to be to handle those four rear swampers. If you want your car to look like the Tumbler, you kinda need to _build_ the Tumbler. The other Batmobiles you can pretty much build around your average ordinary car.
For simplicity, I'd say go with the B:TAS Batmobile. For sheer cool factor, the Burtonmobile. And for people who actually like the Adam West stuff, I hear that one's considered to be a rather iconic version. But the friggen Kilmer-mobile? While it does have a very distinctive look, and it sorta screams "bat-toy", all I can ever think of is that stupid S-foil trick with the main fin, and how utterly stupid they looked as they bounced up and down everytime the Batmobile drove over anything bigger than a grain of sand.
