I will say I may be wrong, but my guess is that this was not a vandal situation, but an attempted theft. I wager two people were trying to steal some copper wire and realized after cutting/pulling some that it wasn't worth anything re-sale and booked. In that case, raising the reward will help as, if I have learned anything from Batman, thieves are cowardly and greedy. If it was a work action, however, no amount they offer will cause someone to narc a fellow Union member out.

OmThey're not going to catch whoever did it.

They're looking for probably 2 random people who snipped some cables in San Jose. This isn't CSI-- they're not going to catch the perps, simple as that. They can throw as much money out there as a reward as they want, but it's not gonna happen.

The crime is just too... not sure if I'm using the right word, but the crime seems too general and open for anyone to pinpoint a suspect.

@Lite: Cycle now entering the game grid: I seriously hate to disagree, but as long as you look like you belong, people tend to ignore you. A guy in California made and installed a exit signs on a major highway in CA, and no one noticed it until he admitted it. Why? B/c they looked like they belonged, so no one noticed. People also don't like to get involved sometimes, so if they see a open manhole cover, they will drive around it and say "Someone else probably called about it."
