    My son, a college student, wore a Fred Flintstone costume. He proceeded to make a cardboard car and run around campus streets in same.... drunk. He wanted to see if he could get a DUI.... #breathalyzercostume

    @gemcosta: That's like 2 drinks in an hour. Considering his probable frat-boy tolerance, he probably felt fine. Key word there is felt, because we all know the studies on how one drink affects your reaction time and all that. #breathalyzercostume

    @aek8: According to charts (though obviously it depends on other things as well), a 180-lb male gets to .15 after about seven .5 fluid oz. of alcohol. #breathalyzercostume

    @aek8: 2 drinks? Typically 0.02 per drink (glass of wine=pint of beer= 1 shot) so this is about 7 drinks, as gemcosta pointed out. #breathalyzercostume

    @gemcosta: *puts on his Military Police hat* Lemme explain the flaws of the breathalyzer system...if he'd just taken a swig of his beer before the cops walked up and had him blow, he could easily blow way the hell more than he actually had in his system. This is why my Provost Marshall won't prosecute a BAC-specified DUI without a blood test. #breathalyzercostume

    @gemcosta: I have a breathalyzer myself and have been tested by my ex's brother, a cop, on occasion while having a few drinks. Have 1 beer, then about 10 minutes later you'll blow at least a .08. Shoot, 2 minutes afterwards you blow a .11 or higher.

    I don't know about you, but 1 beer does not make me drunk. This is why breathalyzers are inherently flawed. I've been pulled over within 20 minutes of finishing 1 beer...1 beer at a friends place and I would have tested over a .08, the legal limit here in Indiana.

    That being said, this guy was more than likely failing field sobriety tests as well...not to mention driving the wrong way out of an entrance is reason enough to question someone about that and probable cause to pull someone over. Seeing a partial case of beer on the seat is reason enough to administer tests.
