"What happened as we're continuing to listen was we worked in some of the comments and ideas that got sent to us
as well as the death threats, comments about our Mothers, questions of our parents martial status, how much we "fail!1!!", exactly what our IQ is lower than, things I can't repeat in mixed company, etc... etc...
@YoSoyHe-Man!!_GitEmSteveDave: I would like to say that I like getting my internet from a cable company but if they go through with this I have no choice but to cancel my subscription and downgrade to DSL until Version gets fios in my area.
I think version will get so many more customers if they got fios in ever major town. I know at least 12 other people who are waiting for them.
I live in San Diego and am thinking of dropping TWC Roadrunner for ATT DSL (FiOS not available in my area). Anyone have any ATT horror stories to share first?
Internet demand is rising at a rate that could outpace capacity within a few years. According to industry analysts, the infrastructure may not be able to accommodate the explosion of online content by 2012. This could result in Internet brownouts.
That's not our problem, you schmuck! We pay you a lot of money for our internet access! Maybe you should use some of it to increase capacity. Don't go all "poorly-managed public utility so we need to conserve" on us!
@Xeno has nothing useful to contribute: And I'm bent enough to invite anouther router into our little "thing"... I couldn't help it. That AirPort Extreme was just so sexy sitting there, ActionTec and I both agreed we would hardwire it.
damn it. i just got into another "price lock" with those bums. piss on me. although, it does remind of living in the dorms when we had a 3GB cap a week. that was ridiculous.
Oh come on!! Here I am about to drop my cable and just live off the net, downloading shows, anime, and movies as always, and then they announce this? Hopefully they stop this madness before it spreads to NYC!
If it does hit us, I'll definitely be looking at competition that has no such restrictions.
What's the point of having the world at your fingertips if it costs you to get more than a grope?
@konakazi: I hope you don't live in a large apartment building. If you do, you might want to see if your building has a contract with TWC preventing you from going with (ack) Cablevision.
Cablevision and TWC have a pretty good duopoly going on which has been screwing New Yorkers for years.

There's now another D-link antenna hooked into the Linksys, cuz I like a little "ethnic mix" action.
