    One advantage the mac has over windows is in the way applications are managed. On a mac, when backing up all your stuff for migration to a new mac or a clean OS install, whether using time machine or not, it is relatively straight forward for all your apps to be copied over as a part of the backup...there's no registrey mucking stuff up. #ninite

    @TheCrudMan: It's good and bad. While that does offer a heavy bit of convenience, I sort of need the opportunity to have my system wiped clean. after many months of installing applications for one-time use and then never uninstalling them. I get to start at the beginning again and only crowd my hard drive and registry with the applications as I need them. #ninite

    Actually, using their menu on the web site you build an installer using only the apps you want. Even if it is only 5 or 6, it is easier than finding them on your own.

    Good app. It will be the first I run when my Win7 disc arrives. #ninite
