    The New York City MTA has had the 2nd Avenue Subway on the books for the past half century and a series of economic crises compounded by American policy deeming public transportation irrelevant has kept it that way. A phased construction process has begun again, and New York State is once again dealing with financial crisis, potentially stalling phases 2, 3, and 4 for decades more if public transit gets the losing end again. Here's to hoping California's High Speed Rail project doesn't experience the same problems...it has real potential to connect the Western seaboard cities like Acela has connected New York City, DC, and Boston.

    I voted against this proposition because there was no provision for hiring Bruce Willis to kick the shit out of the terrorists planning to blow this thing up.
