For $200 (and $5 shipping) you get a 14" CRT, a duo of 6-button joysticks and 12 games like Rampage, Joust and Root Beer Tapper. Plus, there are some A/V-in ports for those of you looking to bring your HD Xbox 360 experience to the small screen. [woot via dealnews]

<![CDATA[ Horm Voltaceleste: A Fiber-Optical Star-Spangled Cabinet For Your Stuff ]]> I loved the glowing Full Moon sideboard from the other month, but I wasn't able to convince my wife it'd make a good addition to our home. I reckon I'd have more of a chance with Horm Voltaceleste, from designer Salvatore Indriolo as it's a touch more subtle but just as astronomical. The doors are decorated with embedded fiber-optics in the patterns of constellations, and there's interior lighting too. It's chipboard and poplar veneer, so though there's no info on price I reckon it wouldn't be a wallet-smasher. [Born Rich]

<![CDATA[ Blu-ray Coffee Table, Pac-Man Tabletop For Grown-ups ]]> When tabletop arcade manufacturer Retro-Tech makes a coffee table, it's gotta do more than hold books on Famous Chateaus of the 18th Century and What Things Look Like From the Sky. It has to hold that stuff and piss off your home theater.

So they start with a 19" touchscreen, add a Blu-ray drive with video out and a Microsoft keyboard and mouse to control is all. (And we're pretty sure a PC is stuck in there too.) To round it out, 6mm of "toughened glass" protects the top, though we're a bit confused if the touchscreen still works when covered. You can definitely see the arcade influence in the design, but we wish they'd gone a step or two further in incorporating the glossier elements of tabletop games. And would a splash of color hurt anyone? Price TBA. [Retro-Tech via Ubergizmo]

<![CDATA[ TV2ART Kabe Hides Your Flat Panel TV Into An Art Piece ]]> TV2ART's Kabé cabinet combines Japanese-style furnishing with Japanese-style shame, but in this case, it's shame for the fact that you own a flat panel TV. The cabinet has two modes. The first mode makes it look like you've got a Rowboat scene going on next to a vase. The second mode, which is what you'll have it in most of the time, makes the rowboat slide to the right and reveals the TV. You'll be able to pick one of several styles, all of which illustrate that you aren't really proud of your purchase. Incidentally, does anyone know the name of the song that they use on their site? <![CDATA[ Gigantic Xbox 360 Cabinet Eats Smaller Xbox 360s, Poops Game Boys ]]> 12-5-07-giant_xbox_360.jpgGemaga (Japanese for giant things that should not be giant) had a video up on this huge Xbox 360 that doubles as a cabinet. The video's not there, but you can still tell from the screencap that it's large enough to fit 10 regular sized Xbox 360s, 3 PlayStation 3s, and one Xbox 1. And since there's no video, we can't tell if it has a giant DVD tray or warms up the house 10x better than a real Xbox. [Gemaga via Gadgetcom]

<![CDATA[ Dealzmodo: Konami Arcade Cabinet ]]> p3058541dt.jpgWe've told you about something similar to the 12-in-1 Konami arcade cabinet before, but this is Konami's first appearance on Giz. Featuring (you guessed it) 12 classic Konami games—Frogger, Green Beret, Blades of Steel, Contra, Gyruss, Castlevania, Hyper Sports, Time Pilot '84, Shao-Lins Road, Jungler, Scramble and Super Basketball—its slightly smaller stature will make for snugger play, and its 15" screen will be smaller than many classic machines you are used to. But for a reduced price, it would make a fantastic gift under the tree...

For a limited time you can pick up the Konami arcade cabinet for a sweet $320. From Linens 'n Things, enter "NOV2907" at checkout and save 20% on the system that often runs $400 and up...if you can still find one around. Either the cabinets have been a hot commodity or they're being discontinued. Either way, we think that the machine looks a lot more tempting for around $300 than it did at $400. <![CDATA[ Wiimote Cabinet: I Want One ]]> A Go Nintendo reader by the name of Craig has one hell of a dad. After all, it takes a great dad to build a sweet looking Wiimote cabinet like this. I'm no carpenter but it doesn't look all that difficult to make from a design perspective. You could probably find something similar in your local furniture store. However, the detail work on the front is done quite well. I would love to have one of these in my apartment. It probably won't be all that popular with the ladies, but then again nerdy stuff never is. So who really gives a damn. [Go Nintendo]

<![CDATA[ Gamerator, Arcade Cabinet with Beer Tap ]]>
The Gamerator has been the first successful technology to combine our two favorite pastimes: video games and binge drinking. Because while it initially appears to be a drool-worthy 24-inch flat screen MAME arcade cabinet with 180 preloaded titles, the Gamerator's alter ego is that of a kegerator, keeping a pony keg chilled and on tap for your enjoyment at all times. Sounds like heaven? That's not all, my friends!

The Gamerator can also be customized to fit your console of choice or even a fully functional PC. Browse the web with a beer, and when you need a break in the chugging, just store your glass in one of the two built-in cupholders. You know, just like when you're cruising the strip in the minivan.

Remember the old days when you were stuffing more quarters into machines before time ran out? Well this is the new, over 21 and way more awesome version—though no one can predict just how many glasses will fall victim to "slip and shatter" as we try to booze up before putting the finishing whoop ass on M. Bison. And the $2,000 pricetag really isn't that bad when you consider...uhh...yeah, it's a bit pricey, even for a MAME cabinet. But we're sure it's worth every penny. [ebay via technabob]

<![CDATA[ Sweep-Away Cabinet Vac Makes Dustpans Obsolete ]]> Why use dustpans when you can use this Sweep-Away Cabinet Vac, a genius invention that we didn't even know we needed until we saw it. Instead of sweeping dust and gunk into a pan that you have to pick up and throw away, you sweep it into the vacuum hole on the bottom of your cabinet. The vac sucks up the cat hair and feces like a standard vacuum. All you have to do is empty the vacuum later and you're done. The only problem is that it's $299, and if you want additional accessories like a 30-fit hose, it's $499. Plus, unlike a dustpan, this only works in one room. [Galaxie Vac via Core77 - Video]

<![CDATA[ Guitar Hero "Arcade Syle" Cabinet: Rock Out in Style ]]> A simple but brilliant design—build an arcade style cabinet for Guitar Hero with a real Marshall cab acting as the base, a marquee and speakers on the top, and connect it to a hacked PS2 with every Guitar Hero game loaded on the hard drive. Then go ahead and deck out a couple of guitar controllers to top it all off. Needless to say, I wouldn't mind sucking so much ass at Guitar Hero if I was playing it on this thing. <![CDATA[ Entertainment Cabinet With Ventilation Slots Cools Your Junk Without Fans ]]> Even this Avion 8529 entertainment center with built-in ventilation slots wouldn't have saved Ashcraft's Xbox 360 from red ringing, but it could possibly work for you. It looks like a standard wooden entertainment center from the front, but can still keep adequate air going even with the doors closed thanks to the flow-through ventilation slots situated in convenient locations. We're not sure how well this works in practice, but if they can guarantee that my 360 won't asplode when the front doors are shut, that $1950 price tag may be reaso...ok, we're not paying two thousand bucks for this. <![CDATA[ Pop-Up TV Liquor Cabinet ]]> tvliquor.jpgPlanning to redecorate your place with a Villain-esque theme? Then this old-school TV/Liquor Cabinet should be just the thing for you.

You can set up a CCTV camera feed from your front door to this TV and know exactly when your mother-in-law arrives. Once she's inside, activate the Auton lift system to reveal the booze underneath. That'll keep her from yapping about how you should get a better job.

<![CDATA[ Plasma Cabinet Lifts, Separates ]]> Despite not really saving space—you can't put anything either on top of this cabinet or inside of it if it's hidden—this Plasma Lift should be a hit with the ladies. Why? Because they really hate electronics being out in the open.

With the remote, your $6,000 Plasma TV glides easily out of the hutch and up into view. We'd prefer keeping things where we can see them so there's not a huge delay between wanting to watch TV and actually watching it, but we're probably not the target audience of this.

<![CDATA[ Nintendo '80s Arcade Cabinet ]]> Costco's selling this Nintendo classic arcade cabinet. Since you can get Mario Bros. Donkey Kong and DK Jr variations on Game Boy, what you're actually paying $3000 for is the orange paint and amazing cabinet art. Twin joysticks, and a 19 inch monitor round out the 250-pound pre-8-bit-era game machine.

<![CDATA[ Make the Ultimate Gamer's Cabinet ]]> gamingcabinet.jpgAs gamers, this is probably the best thing we've ever seen. An amateur woodworker converted a standard cabinet into the ultimate gamer's cabinet through some hard work and some wood. Each level holds a game console, elevated for maximum ventilation. He also drilled holes on the sides to put lighted PC fans to help move air.

An added bonus, the sides have hooks and holders so he can keep his controllers neat, but still in view. This mod requires some woodworking experience, but you should be able to take this idea and run with it to come up with an easier solution. Sure beats our current "put everything on the floor" approach.

<![CDATA[ Midway Stand-Up Arcade Cabinet ]]> arcade.jpgAny geek over the age of say, 28, will remember how it felt to play these old-timey arcade games at the arcade. Since arcades are a dying breed, and none of them actually have these old games for you to relive your seemlingly wonderful childhood, your only choice is to pick up this Big Electronics Games Stand-Up Arcade Console loaded with Midway games.

The games: Rampage, Defender, Defender II, Robotron: 2084, Joust, Bubbles, Splat!, Sinistar, Root Beer Tapper, Wizard of Wor, Timber and Satan's Hollow. Your price is $449, which includes FREE shipping. That'll save you at least $50 to $100 if this heavy mother wasn't shipped free. <![CDATA[ Quasimoto HD: High Def Arcade Cabinet For Your Consoles ]]> NEW-HD-1024.jpg
Playing video games for too long can give you a hunched back. Appropriately named arcade cabinet maker, Quasimoto, has updated their many buttoned, many joystick'd model with an "HD" designation. That's a thinner profile, thanks to the wide-aspect flatscreen LCD that replaces the CRT in previous models we've written about. Also new are the removable side graphics, 200-watts of THX certified sound, and a built-in power strip you can plug your consoles into. What stays the same is a game tray and the fantastic joystick setup. Pictures of those, after the jump.
