It's everyones War. It's all Americans War. The reason is Fear. Everyone was afraid after 911, congress was for the war, media was for the war, everyone was. Hind sight is 20/20, we can all say "Well I wasn't for it" but 911 was an act of terrorism and it did what it was meant to do, it caused fear.

Everyone wants to put blame on everyone else. As far as Obama goes, he said he would end it and he's changed nothing. I AM NOT saying he should or shouldn't but people assume presidents have way more power then they really do.

@Apoc28: He hasn't even been in office for a year... It's very true that pulling out of a conflict too quickly can cause just as much damage as starting the conflict to begin with. It's written throughout history.

That said, not everyone was out for war. Everyone was out for, revenge and repercussions, but not full blown war. It was made out to be a "Conflict" at first. When Bush and Congress realized they could in fact get a full blown war, they went with it.

I agree that neither Bush or Congress started the war. The people of the United States of America started it by allowing the "conflict" to continue into a, perhaps pointless war.

Only the future can declare its usefulness and that's entirely dependent on what future nations are in power and who they share resources with.

It's funny how something that has come included in a Mac for years now like iPhoto-iMovie integration becomes all of a sudden a marketing tool for Windows just because they finally succeeded to make it work a little better.

@andreadavini: To be fair Movie Maker has been in Windows since ME. Though it was a bit shit though. I had Windows ME I know.

Windows ME was still based off of the 9x stuff but added a bit more crashing to the mix. If you were to browse the web and shut it down without having to Ctrl+Alt+Del once you a some sort of Wizard. Mind you half the time I went on Netscape the Start Menu would go all David Copperfield on me and disappear so I would have to C.A.D. just to hit the Shut Down button.

As I let it buffer... and it is really taking its time :\
This is another reminder that the ability for DSLRs to record HD video is very unnecessary. :P

I think most of us can't afford the 5d MII, but is there anyone with a sample clip from the T1i? (I will search youtube after this, it was more rhetorical) I think it should manage to impress even at 720P and be very effective as a quickie video camera.

I just saw some of these upclose at the Mote aquarium/animal rescue/research facility in Sarasota...they had old volumteers standing near the tanks telling people not to try and pet them when they come near the surface because they like 'finger food' and will snap your digits off in a flash...one of them was missing an eye and blind in the other one, he swam in circles the whole time, bumping into the wall on each side of the tank, then turn around and swim back...it was sad, but he was a cool looking little fella, one of them was an albino, and couldn't be released into the wild due to sunburn risks...and that is my usless info update for today, thank you.

This took me back to February, when I was swimming off the Kona coast of Hawaii at dusk. Sea turtles to one side, giant Mantas on the other. It was eerily, amazingly beautiful. It would've been nice to have a great underwater camera, but as you've stated, nothing ever truly recaptures the moment.
