Sony TWA/T Camera Case is Unfortunately Named

Here we turn our attention to Sony, selling a soft leather TWA/T for $39.99. You'd think the company might vet its naming conventions before publishing them for all to see, but no. "Draw envious looks," says Sony, by carrying your camera around in your TWA/T. This LCS-TWA/T carrying case for Sony CyberShot W- and T- series cameras will be available tomorrow. Too bad this case didn't come in pink, or we'd be all over it by now. [Sony Style] (Thanks, Hunt!)

Griffin Apple Hi-Fi Carrying Case

Hot off our 18-hour Apple ban—it was a long and rough night without Apple—I would like to present you with the most highly anticipated Apple accessory ever made. Remember the Hi-Fi iPod speaker system from Apple? Yeah the same speaker system that caused riots in Apple stores nationwide. The one that was being hocked for thousands of dollars on the black market because they were in such demand. Yeah, that one. Well, Griffin has released a carrying case for this speaker dock. The Griffin Hi-Way (how cute) carrying case can protect the Hi-Fi from all the elements. It includes a flap for iPod docking and pockets to hold iPod gear and batteries—you're going to need a lot if you plan on taking it away from AC power. 50 bones. More »

Hands-On: Adobe Messenger Bag

Adobe sent us one of its limited-edition leather messenger bags ($250) we told you about a couple of weeks ago for testing, and we tried fitting a variety of laptops inside. The 17-inch MacBook Pro barely fits (almost needs to be lubed up), a 15-inch MacBook Pro fits pretty well, a 15.2-inch Dell Mobile Precision Workstation M70 hardly fits, and a 12-inch Dell X1 slides in beautifully. All were offered super-cushioned protection in this roomy and handsome messenger bag. More »

Shling Style Laptop Bag

OGIO has taken a page out of their golf book and adding a shling style strip to their line of laptop carrying bags. The shling has made carrying a golf bag much easier and more comfortable. The bag itself - completely empty - weighs an already hefty five and a half pounds. Add a laptop and handful of cables and accessories this will push well into double digits. Supposedly the shling distributes weight more evenly and allows the body to stand upright easier but a couple PC Mag reviews editors disagreed with the benefits and had a handful of complaints about this techie shling. OGIO will be shipping these bags later this year for around $199. More »

Techwiz Musak Notebook Carrying Case

Here's a padded shoulder bag perfect for the music lover in all of us. Includes a pair of sewn-in satellite speakers, a removable battery-powered amplifier and of course, a flip-up holder for full-size or mini iPods. The bag is big enough to hold a 15-inch laptop but the alkaline battery-powered sound system sounds pretty good and lasts for several hours. The one big problem? No external controls, so you have to find the amplifier module every time you want to turn it on or off. Retails for $70. More »

Samsonite Laptop Case/Pillow

Leave it to Samsonite to make some bastardized travel accessory for the geek clique. The company's new line of laptop carriers come in 3 different styles—hardshell case, top-loading case, and a 2-in-1 messenger bag—and are made with memory foam that converts into a pillow. The Hardshell EVA Laptop Pillow has a 1.5-inch memory foam cushion and runs for $80. The 2-in-1 Messenger Bag comes with lots of space for other, smaller electronics and goes for $200, and the top-loading LP450, retailing for $100, is a soft-shell model, also with a 1.5-inch memory foam cushion. If these things are actually comfortable, I give them a thumbs up, but I have to wonder how big they are and how they fit in a coach seat. However, if it's more comfortable than the aerogel pillows they give you on the plane, I'm sold. More »
