I like the looks of it - particularly how the control knobs look like a helium release valve in a diving watch. 10 ft of depth is not great, but it's certainly enough for most snorkelers. The controls don't look particularly easy to handle with gloved hands, but an improvement over the DMC-TS1. I think I'd still rather go for the DMC-TS1 though, because of the 5x zoom.

So, the killed the slo-mo videos?
I know those needed lots of light and were shot at weird resolutions, but I thought it was a main unique feature of the line... #casioexilimexfh25exfx150

The "before Black Friday" date on the Storm 2 is a bit disappointing. We are hoping to see it released on Verizon in the next couple of weeks since we will want to start testing it for distribution to our executives. We sure hope RIM learned the lessons of phone-suckage from the first Storm.

    Wow, really?
Maybe being back in school has just made me skeptical again, but I could have told you the same thing in a fancy comic sans letter too. We've known those release dates for the major ones for awhile (yes the droid/Tao is the sholes, that too is far too widely known in the blogosphere) and the smaller ones are to low on anyone's radar to care about.

my contract verizon contract is up now and they are enticing me with their "free phone every 2 years (or reduced rate)" offer.

i have been considering an iPhone. is there one verizon model with good enough internet browsing capabilities that could convince me otherwise?

It sucks, Casio has some great features but the camera quality just isn't there. It's like watching Sigma put a X3 Foveron sensor into a Polaroid. Why can't some of these manufacturers license their technologies better!

I have their last gen and it is the worst PnS I have ever had (always had Sony's before). My wife literally can't take a picture to save her life with it as it constantly puts out blurry images. I've never had a problem, but now (last month or so), even I can't take one without some blur and it really pisses me off. I don't want the best PnS, just one the wife can actually use as I hate taking pictures (I just find it annoying).

I have to double check, but I think it only had a 1 year warranty; something has to be wrong with it.
