    Looks like Johnny Storm shouldn't have eaten all that Kung Pao Chicken. The Four Freedoms tower bathrooms were not adequately fireproofed..

    @ZLevee: BEIJING, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- A hotel adjacent to the new China Central Television (CCTV) headquarters in Beijing caught fire Monday night, witnesses said.


    It's part of the complex but not the actual headquarters itself. That's where the confusion was.

    @ZLevee: When you talk about the CCTV building by Koolhaas, any (architectural interested) person will think of the building that didn't burn. The rest f the complex is much less known.

    Probably due to loads of constructon materials on site, no installed fireproofing zones and no working sprinkler system..


    Sadly the first thought that popped into my head in this economy was scammed insurance payout..

    @ripfire: From what I hear, Chinese construction practices don't adhere to things like standards for clean work areas, so there's probably a ton of packing debris laying around to work as kindling.
