    I'd be impressed, but Robot Chicken has been using DSLRs for years now to make their show. This is basically a stop motion film shot with live actors so it's not really innovative in any way, he just sent you guys an email about it or whatever. Also, the song sucks balls.

    @boo_radley32: Just becaus eothers have done it, doens't make anopther artists' use of the medium less impressive or captivating. Many artists painted before DaVinci, but that doens't make the Mona Lisa any less wonderful or unique.


    If everyone held to that line of thinking it would have been tossed in the garbage to cries of, "yah, I'd be impressed, but this other guy used pigmented oils to make a portrait, like, 10 years ago..."

    so is the quirkeyness attributed to the camera being used or is it more intended? i ask because at about 1:40 there's this weird character that appears to be done w/ stopmotion.

    @RedBeard: The article from Wired describes how the creature (a stuffed animal) is posed using blue rods and a person wearing black, and then using some post-processing, the rods and man are removed. Since it's still photography used to "animate" an artificial character, it is, indeed, stop-motion animation.


    The quirkyness you describe is attributed to the fact that at only a few frames per second, there will be some jitter between frames of "apparent" motion, regardless of how careful you are, unless you are using extremely precise computerized robotic motion control.

    Adult Girl - Kasia Cylc

    Young Girl - Erin Hubbell


    Both are quite beautiful with very similar and expressive eyes. The young actress, Erin, only appears for about the first 30 seconds, then the rest of the video is Kasia.

    Not a bad song, and I watched the video all the way through. -rare for me.


    It was very well done. Different, but not in a way that detracted from what was being presented.

    The effect of individual photos was well used.


    I say give them the 10,000 dollars.

    Althought it is a cool thought, it makes the song dated because it is released a year later, and for $3k, you can easily make this music video with a video camcorder (provided all the same lighting and all) and provide the same effect, the end result will the same... This is all about the director's greed to want to get some fame than to really do a music video for the band.
