I met a guy there about about a week ago to pick up his guitar amp that needed worked on.
The half destroyed Circuit City tower thing stood there reaching for the sky, accepting it's death like like an honorable warrior accepting his fate of being struck down in battle.
I remember loving trips to Circuit City as a kid almost as much as going to Radio Shack. Goodnight sweet prince.
Can't believe I guessed that right. It's strange having no CC ads all over television this holiday season. I'd prefer to have them over the Best Buy ones. They're horrendous.
@Fractal the Meek: Haha I dont care about the halloween stores... they come for 3 weeks make big dough and leave... its the church taking over circuit city that I find intriguing.
I was expecting the video to end with a word about Circuit City's truly awesome strategy for success... "and now, to help us achieve our goals, to get us to the next level, to bring excitement back to the company from the bottom up, we are going to fire all of you, our most experienced employees, in favor of lower-priced no-benefit noobs to save a few dollars an hour in expenses... HIGH FIVE!!!!!"
I've had that at other stores - blame the manufacturer in at least some cases.
I had a Samsung YP-Z5 from Future Shop, and when it dropped dead in a month, I had to ship it to Samsung in BC, who shipped a replacement back.
Same with Apple products - my first iPod Touch's touchscreen went flaky on one side, and instead of exchanging it, I had to go to Apple's site, run through their process to deem me worthy of service, then wait for them to mail me an empty box, which I put the Touch into, sent back, and waited for a replacement unit.
Some manufacturers simply demand deals like this...
