I couldn't even begin to tell you which series it was, let alone which episode, but I was watching one of those B-grade late-night action/sci-fi/superhero type series when I was in high school, and in a scene where a woman is thrown across a room, I _know_ I saw one of her boobs pop free of her top. If that made it onto network TV, it doesn't surprise me in the least that other slips happened. Some of that stuff really only registers in your mind when the director pointedly draws your eye to the action, like in Basic Instinct.
@comrade_leviathan:
Not a movie. TV episode. Something on the quality level of Forever Knight, at best. So yeah, it'll be lucky to get released on any media at all, but Blu-Ray is right out. Then again, since I was able to clearly see nipple in the original broadcast ~20 years ago, Blu-Ray isn't strictly necessary to make out any details.
Fight Club IS a romantic comedy. It may be a wonderfully twisted and violent one, but it is ultimately a love story where two people find their way to each other through weird and zany situations. Chuck Palahniuk said as much when I saw him years ago in Santa Rosa.
@amberloop: Yep, I can second this - I went to an in-store reading about 10 years ago and I put forward this as my interpretation of the book (quite nervously, because everyone else was going on about the wider sociological themes); Palahniuk nodded enthusiastically the whole time I was talking, and said "Bingo - you got it" when I'd finished. Although it is also a study of modern masculinity and consumer politics, I'm amazed at how many people miss the central story.

@jayhawk11 loves sammiches: hrmm I guess I never thought of it that way. If you have an HDTV, why would you not use HDMI. If you have an HD TV why would it not be HDCP compliant.. I have never heard of any one having consumer unfriendly issues with bluray. If you the hardware, there are no problems. RTFM
@oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...: HDTV's and HD displays pre-date both HDMI and HDCP. You have sets with only component video. You have thousands of sets with DVI connections that won't pass HDCP. You have thousands of sets with HDCP compliant DVI connections, but using a HDMI-to-DVI converter breaks the HDCP chain.
@jayhawk11 loves sammiches: Whining about "Consumer Friendliness" on a blog post about Fight Club gives Palahnuik a nice chubby. Next up: a commenter on Martha Stewart's blog bringing up "Eco-Friendliness"
@Laughin_Caulk: Perhaps you misunderstood. Being "consumer unfriendly" generally means "Corporate-friendly". Something which Jack's id most certainly does not approve of.

@oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...: It's not about reading the manual. It's about companies creating environment where every customer is looked upon as if they were a thief.
Crunching numbers on this green house, I reckon $60k plus a generous $10k maintenance allowance for the power system over the years it takes to recoup the losses.
Taking a true-cost approach, I'll ignore subsidies, though that certainly cuts the time in half for early buyers.
Pulling $180 per month out of my butt as an estimate for conventional power, I come up with about 32 years to pay off the difference. Which... is actually pretty good aside from the pile of Li-ion and silicon waste left at end-of-life.
Wow...I spent 5 minutes thinking what the connection between Chris Liddell and Bill Gates was, until I realized that it was just the angle of the camera.
*facepalm*
For those of you that don't know. Meijer is what Walmart SuperCenters wish they were.
Most Meijer Stores are much bigger than the typical Walmart SuperCenter and usually have a better selection. Prices are not as good though. #meijerblackfriday
@dragon:ONE: A Michigan/Ohio/Indiana secret that could, if they tried, give WalMart a run for the money. Everyone shops at Meijer, not Walmart, when you have one available.

It's a crime. There should be some kind of prioritizing of which movies get moved to Blu-ray first... like anything with "boobage".
