    yeah, just because it has jaggies, doesn't make it pixelated. pixels are uniform in size. i could make one of these with construction paper and eyeball the pixels and have it look better

    More likely he's talking about EL strips. Electroluminescent panels are like those flat green nightlights you plug into the wall.

    They come in almost any colour and can be quite bright, but are based on a simple electrical stimulation of a phosphor, rather than OLED which are organic LEDs and use quantum effects to release photons.
