In my experience, you do NOT wave a Gyration mouse like you don't care... because if you drop it a couple of feet it'll break the electronic gyro, and you'll end up with a cursor that always shoots in one direction.

We ordered a bunch of their old basic mouse at the college I work at, and we couldn't order them in fast enough to replace the ones that broke.

I use an older Gyration mouse and keyboard at work and I like it. The mouse has a laser pointer in it.
