@evan_is_MrE: That guy needs to work on his material -- that bit was almost un-funny. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if that audience was booing him and they added in a laugh track in post-production. #japan
@SacredByte: well ... yeah it is a bit subtle ... but I thought the Hot Pocket jingle would have fit nicely in the realm of Sadtopia. "Dead Pocket" #japan
@evan_is_MrE: That entire segment was quite clearly filler material; If you've already got the audience well primed with good material, it'll pass. It doesn't stand well on it's own. There were 2-3 chunks towards the very end that elicited a chuckle, but that's it.
Comedy is an art, and this material is a bad copy of a bad copy of decent material.
@SacredByte: yeah, you're right. I won't argue with that. It is best if you can hold your audience's interest from start to finish. Otherwise you end up being a Stand-up version of "Brisingr," forcing your audience to jump from pg 30 to 685 explaining away the gap by saying "swarven politics and meaningless skirmishes"
@phunnyballs: I finished the hole with a rubber edge, so it looks good and fits perfectly (the hole is exactly the shape of the disc-holder.
Funny thing is though, that the four basic screws that attached the motherboard of the NES to it's base have the same distance as the 4 base-screws in the GameCube. Fits like a charm :)
If you have any idea on how to make a slot-loading GameCube, let me know! This was really the only way I could still play games on it! :P
Next to that, it's my first case-mod ever, so don't be to hard on me!
And last: I'm still planning on making a lid on top, to kind of shut it. Would be nicest if, ofcourse, it will be in the original grey color. #nes
In these days of cheap emulators all you need is any sort of modern electronic portable. A PSP is capable of doing all three easily. This sort of thing is just for people who can't give up their cartridges. #mods
Did anyone else notice the SMB music was playing too fast? It's like he has ten seconds left in the level but he's right at the begining. That emulator is whack.
at first it was cool. than someone pointed it out and i suspicious. now i'm starting to think its a full blown conspiracy. why does every nes mod video have the person playing the first mario bros.?
@Volvonaut: I think so. PAL/NTSC play at different speeds, and I think playing a euro cart on a US system/emu results in it being faster. But most emulators let you pick which region of the console to emulate.
Ah, this has put me in the mood for some Kaizo Mario World.

For most people, it's Super Mario Bros.

Better too fast than too slow, though.
Weird, tetris is normal speed. Perhaps he used wrong region ROM for SMB, maybe PAL instead of NTSC?
