I've used cousins of both browsers having just gone from a WinMo phone to webOS. Honestly Opera Mobile vs. a WebKit browser comes to a pretty even draw IMHO.
And it seemed to me that the server assist in Opera only helped on the most image laden pages. Otherwise the extra server latency made the speed boost negligible.
I'm not sure if my previous comment thread was deleted on purpose, or if a server is down, but my "here lies: assface" comment wasn't directed at anyone, but is in fact what every child from 1981-present wrote on every gravestone in Oregon trail. #trailer
Its actually too nice. Camping should be in a leaky tent with a sleeping bag on the floor. You have a real fire to cook, see and wonder by. If you have your trusty Igloo cooler, StayPufts and Jiffy Pop, what else do you need? #trailer
If we organized our houses/apts/condos as efficiently as we do trailers and boats, two people could live in 200 sq meters no problem. Shrinking your actual living space reduces energy costs dramatically. #trailer
@Gary_7vn: 200 sq meters is no problem at all. That's like 2100 sq feet. 2 people living in that size place in California is largely unheard of... #trailer
@Gary_7vn: Er, is that supposed to be some kind of revelation? My GF and I have NEVER lived in an area even approaching 2100 sq ft for two people. Our current place is about 1100 sq ft, and it is way bigger than what we need. We were in a place that was about 850, and that was also fine, but much smaller than that and I wouldn't have a place for all the computers. #trailer
The wagon tipped over while floating. We lost:
1600 pound of food
1 wagon axle
2 sets of clothing
125 bullets

Just have the browsers presented in a circle. Better yet, a circle that rotates, so any future complaints about Firefox not getting a dominant position on the circle can be hushed before they're spoken. #browserballot
What a whiny bitch. If people want firefox for its features and ease of use, they will click on it. If they want IE because they don't know any better, they will click on it. If they want adherence to web standards, or are lazy, they will click on safari. If they want a browser that guests won't use cause they have never heard of it and don't know its a browser, they will pick opera. Plain and simple. #browserballot
Since Opera started all of this I would guess the only reason we haven't heard anything from them yet is because they are still drafting up a response.
This is absolutely ridiculous. It's bad enough that MS is being forced to do it in the first place, but now they even have to put themselves further down the list?
If Opera and onecorewonderZilla keep this up maybe the EU will can the idea all together.
Personally I think MS should have just stuck with the "no browser" option and send IE cd's to stores like they were going to do. Make Mozilla, Apple, and Opera do the same. Case close. #browserballot
I love FF (keywords + xmarks FTW), but seriously Boriss wouldn't be bitching if Firefox were first in the list.
Just seems a tad hypocritical. #browserballot

But yay, choices/competition!
