i will download this app and listen to some songs. i will then report back here to share with everyone what i think. it is only my opinion that is important so any posts after this one are moot. except for the post i will post after this one which will be my review of slacker radio. brb. #android

@Nick: so far it looks great. behaves well. only complaint so far is that the app stops playing when my screen turns off and phone will go into sleep mode. you can set Slacker to keep the screen on, but i would like the screen off and Slacker to keep playing. oh, and my other complaint is that Dane Cook was playing on the comedy top station. DANE COOK SUCKS #android

I will probably buy this in June when I get a Droid. I refuse to pay 550.00 for a droid or 450.oo for the eris so I'll wait until my contract is up in June. #android

@Crazy_Talk: Don't know if it just hasn't shown up yet, but I only found a free version in the Market.

@Crazy_Talk: It's just referring to the free, ad-supported accounts vs. the paid, more customizable, ad-free subscription accounts (which are well worth the $47.88/yr). Slacker is SO much better than the wasteland that XM/Sirius has become.

The one nice piece of the hardware was that you didn't need a net connection to listen. There are places where you dont' get cell coverage, so unless they include buffering 2GB of music, the hardware still has a slight advantage.

I got an earlier version of the hardware (G1, I guess) and even though it is a bit bulky, I really like it. I wouldn't consider consider the functionality of the device alllll that insignificant considering that there are SOME people without Blackberries and iPhones ...right?

Anyway, hopefully outlets will put the G2 on sale for fairly cheap and I can pick it up :) #slackerexitshardwarebusiness

I had the iPhone app first and the G1 second. I would probably buy a Slacker G3 if they made one but sadly that isn't going to happen. I enjoy the music served up by Slacker vs. other online streaming radio services. #slackerexitshardwarebusiness

It seemed like day one that these were just a useless device made only to make money. With apps on Blackberry and iPhone, who really needs this? The industry is going closer to one-device integration, and this is the exact opposite of it. #slackerexitshardwarebusiness

Always seemed interesting to me that they had their own hardware and then developed iPhone and BlackBerry apps. #slackerexitshardwarebusiness

Is there a WinMo version yet?

Sirius/XM is raising rates and cutting included online listening, so I'm all about some alternatives.

I just downloaded this for my Curve, and it works really well. Not sure why I wasn't using slacker before, but I like the program more than a little!
