@Scazza: Yeah, but I want to be able to go deeper than 3 feet. I'm don't need a rugged/splash protection case. I will only be using it when I want to take pictures underwater. And talk on the phone underwater. The deeper the better.
@xoforoct wishes he lived in chasm city: Trick for getting moisture of out water-logged electronics. The rice sucks the moisture of the nooks 'n crannies.
@snubz: If that worked, I could leave a bowl of rice on my windowsill on a humd day and have it be "cooked". Un-popped popping corn OTOH, will suck up moisture.
I dont find it to far fetched that an iPhone dropped in a pool would work afterwards. If the phone was dried out properly it could very well still power up.
@OulaMan: Did you not watch the video? The dude drops the phone he's recording the video on into the pool. Then he fishes it out, and it's still recording.
