    i just install this Faucet and it is great. the only thing missing is on the soap dispenser there is not a matching black base. you also have to make sure the blue light is off, as you can shut off the water, after touching it and leave the light on and kill the batteries. I think an ac adapter is needed

    Even if it always defaults to cold, this is fine with me. When my hands are covered in dough or thick marinade I'd love to have something like this. I can't reach the lever with my elbow since there's a low-hanging shelf right above the fixture, so this would be really handy.

    I can tell you as soon as I saw this commercial on TV over the last two+ weeks, I always look at my cats when it comes on. As a person with three adorable, and also pain in the ass, kittehs in his household, how do you stop them from turning it on? I have already proven my cats paw will work on an iTouch, so it should turn this on no problem. Just hope your sink has an overflow drain, in case you have a cat like the one above. #deltatouchsensitivefaucet

    In the ads they show people washing off paint and stuff like that which makes sense, but who in the hell is washing paint off of their hands in the kitchen?

    Call me crazy, but I know I'm not alone. If my hands are that dirty I go to the basement or a bathroom.

    @UnderLoK: I often work with raw meat, which when ground up gets everywhere. Frankly it'd be useful as hell to not have to grab the faucet handles with my salmonella-ridden fingers.

    Plus, paint goes really well with a nice focaccia and a leggy red wine. Don't knock it till you've tried it. #deltatouchsensitivefaucet

    @UnderLoK: It shouldn't contaminate your food so long as you properly clean the surfaces after using it. If you're repainting a kitchen, chances are you're going to get some residue on surfaces where food is normally prepared anyway, even with the tarps to protect them from splatter. I've washed all kinds of things in the sink, from regular grime to horrible gunk. I simply do a heavy disinfecting with lots of hot water. It's not a porous surface, so it shouldn't be much of an issue. #deltatouchsensitivefaucet

    @UnderLoK: Did you know that your sink is the dirtiest place in your kitchen?? Do a little research. I think you'll find that paint would be one of the cleanest things in your sink. Bacteria from meat, fish, and poultry are much more dangerous than paint. I'd pick something up off the floor and eat it before I'd pick something up out of the sink and eat it (unless I had sanitized the sink first) #deltatouchsensitivefaucet

    @Randy Hubbard: In your house maybe. In my house I use this wild thing I get from overseas called BLEACH. Maybe you've heard of it? ;)

    If you're talking "average home" it goes sponge, towels, wooden cutting boards (you know many people cut meat on them still and don't clean them properly or use oil to help seal them better), sink, counters, and plastic cutting boards.

    Most of the surface issues can be traced back to the sponge and or towels in use. They are used with soap to clean surfaces where meat was prepared without the use of bleach which means that is spread onto the counters, dishes, sink, and the like.

    @Ace0spades808: It's one of many reasons yea. This all wound up focused on the contamination thing because I didn't bother to spend the time to go over the other reasons.

    First of all the kitchen is the most expensive room in the house. Evidently I'm in the minority in that I don't risk using my kitchen as a cleanup room to wash shit off my shoe, or paint off of my hands, or grease and oil from working on the car, or some other kitchen sink I had laying out behind my garage.

    If you spend your hard earned cash on a nice kitchen or at the very least a well kept one why in the hell would you treat it like a wash tub? Over time stains will happen, the tiny scratches in your sink will begin to take on color and become harder and harder to clean.

    It's my own fault for focusing on the contamination thing, which again, was an error on my part, but there is a place for everything and that isn't in my kitchen sink. You don't have to agree, but I don't either.

    @WestwoodDenizen: I'm arrogant because I want a clean sink? What are you talking about?

    @UnderLoK: No, you're arrogant because of a few of the comments you've made. Telling someone that you know they eat frozen crap and saying you were just raised to be clean. Or that you're different from us because you don't use your kitchen to clean shit off your shoe.

    Anyway, it's fine, you just view your kitchen differently from a lot of us, in that most people aren't particularly zealous about keeping our kitchen pristine. It's certainly a bit healthier to keep it spotless, but I don't view the sink as a prep station. It's more of a place for the food I don't want anymore. #deltatouchsensitivefaucet

    It's a good thing that they kept the normal controls to the side since I've had nothing but problems with touch sensitive stuff like this. Every lamp I've bought that was touch to activate now must be controlled in some other way since the touch sensing is the first thing to break. #deltatouchsensitivefaucet

    @Yuppers: I love you: Ohh, the lights still work. They use standard 120vac. the stupid touch switch breaks and the lights lock to on all the time so I then have to use them on switched outlets or some other way to contol them. #deltatouchsensitivefaucet

    I wonder how well this will last, now that I think about it. My kitchen faucet gets REALLY hot when I fill the sink up with water.

    I also wonder how do you adjust water flow. I assume that thing to the right is for water temp. #deltatouchsensitivefaucet

    @AJ_Syrinx: hmmmm... I dont know if I would care for this then. since just about everything I do in my kitchen faucet requires a different temperature.

    With my current faucet, I can turn it on and adjust the temp, and flow with one swoop. With this I would have to turn it on with a tap, and then adjust the flow every time I wash my hands, wash dishes, wash an apple, get a glass of water, etc. #deltatouchsensitivefaucet

    @phunnyballs: Yeah, after reading some more it became apparent that they took a classic Delta lever, shrunk it down, and moved the faucet off to the side instead of underneath, making it bigger and touch sensitive (that's what she said...) #deltatouchsensitivefaucet
