    OK, I usually hate on/at Max, but this is actually pretty cool. Makes me want to rip that little Dell circle off of mine and chuck a screen in there.

    Though I'm surprised that it took the Vice President of the colonies to come up with this.

    If I were to take one shot in RAW format, wouldn't I be able to create the necessary three different exposures out of the one shot, making the necessary exposure adjustments on the computer?

    @plastikwaren: Yes, but you won't get the same four-stop range of bracketing multiple shots.

    Some of us like the clown vomit, btw. (Great metaphor, JM.) The surreal versus the documentary photo, versus the "realistic" (but adjusted) photo are all matters of taste. And only that. There is no rule for creating "right" images. Only successful or failed attempts at achieving a photographer's intentions. And ultimately, execution, not intention, is the measure of all things. So stop hating on the clowns. The rodeo is big enough for us all.

    @ChasityKaplooyi: Yep, agree with you! Said that about 100 times in the post :) They're your photos, do what you want with them! Amen!

    Great tips guys. I've been using one of the recommended camera's for getting HDR, the Pentax K10. I take 5 exposures at 2 stop differences and I created a really crappy one in my living room in a matter of minutes.

    But outside and at night or at dusk it'll really be evident and look amazing. Great article.

    HDR/Tone Mapping can't save a boring shot.

    @viatorci: Thanks :)

    @balls187: Well very true but I believe I already stated this wasn't a great shot, it was merely a sample of it working on small scale in any home.

    @e0ytk: Sorry e0ytk. That comment was misdirected to you by Gawkers busted commenting system. I did not mean to insult your photography. That was suppose to be a general comment to the article.

    Again, I apologize.
