    Why run an OS optimized for an ARM phone on an x86 platform? There are many other, better options.

    @Anonymoose: Things I learned from this comment: Santa Claus is a Republican. Doesn't surprise me though. White old guy with a bunch of toys and industrialized elf labor? Seems to fit.

    Giving toys to all the children of the world, though, does seem a bit "spread the wealth"-y for a Repub. Might want to see to that. #androidonaumpc

    Eee killed the OQO.


    I said it from the beginning - the "UMPC" was a disastrous concept. OQO actually preceded the term, but actually suffered twice as much for it as people expected similar devices at $500 UMPCs that never came from OQO or anyone else. Instead OQO had a $1200 device that was not quite as useful as a laptop, not quite as portable as a blackberry, and filled a need that few had. Then Eee came along with a device that was much more useful, less expensive, and almost as portable. That was the nail in the coffin for them.

    @ALT: Do you mean guerrila marketing, meaning the use of kitsch and viral marketing in an unconventional system of promotions, running on a very low budget, by relying on time, energy and imagination instead of big marketing budget.
