As a child, when ever I played on the swing, I would either a) Try to swing as high as possible so the swing would swing directly down, I though it was fun as hell. or b) Swing really high and then try to leap across the 6-8 ft rock pit (onto asphalt as I remember. oops)

    I was a daredevil.

I used to play on these when I was a kid. I'm just fine now. If you'll excuse me, I have to take some pills...

That's about as brilliant as putting those 'Kids at Play' signs in the middle of the road.

Come on, DO NOT PLAY IN THE STREET.... PERIOD. Even in a cul-de-sac.

(Background: Parents in my area use those signs to claim the road as a playground for their kids)

@Shamoononon thanks Rocephin: And we thought we were the only ones with this problem! In spite of nice yards and sidwalks, several families near the top of the cul de sac starting placing an orange cone in the middle of the street and letting even tiny kids sit in the road and draw with chalk and otherwise play in the street. You had to wait until the kids cleared before getting to your house. After failed requests, we finally reported it to the cops, it's against the law here (and many places) to block a street, even with your stupid little orange cone. Problem solved.

Unbelievable arrogance but even worse, no real concern for their children.

Can't wait till some kid tries a back flip off one of these and eats pavement. I did it once as a kid... luckly it was sand that I dined on.
