<![CDATA[Matte Black MacBook Pro Looks Like a Deadly Stealth Ship]]> This $6000 Colorware MacBook Pro isn't just impressive because of its price, it's impressive because it looks like what a real matte black MacBook Pro from Apple would look like.

There are only ten available, and with each one costing $6000, you're probably not going to be one of the ten. So soak up the images and pretend that you can reasonably justify paying more than twice as much for a laptop just for it not to be so shiny and grey. [Colorware]

<![CDATA[Colorware Will Make Your DSi Hideously Ugly, For a Price]]> If you don't want a plain black Nintendo DSi, Colorware is more than happy to take your money to customize yours however you wish. Above, you can see my creation: "Vomitus Easterus." Lovely, no?

You can choose the colors for basically every piece of plastic on the handheld, but it'll cost you a whopping $374 for a DSi with every part customized. Alternately, you can send yours in and pay just $174. But really, I think my combo of pastels above is priceless. [Colorware via Engadget]

<![CDATA[Colorware Adds Visual Spice to iPods, Better Scratch Protection For iPod Touch]]> We've covered Colorware's professional gadget painting in the past—and were more than satisfied after seeing their work close up, but their latest iPod coloring seems to be more than just cosmetic. The iPod Touch 2G color-coats the shiny silver metallic back with a color layer, which most likely handles fingerprints and scratches better than the original surface. They also paint iPod Nano 4G and iPod Classic as well as iPhone 3G, so you've got options on those devices as well. The process is not all that cheap ($125 to send yours in), but it's definitely worth it considering that they do a great job and you'll be using these gadgets for years. [Colorware]

<![CDATA[iPhone 3G Now in Multiple (Unofficial) Colors]]> If there's a gadget that can use a new coat of paint, Colorware is almost always on the scene first (with pretty good results). But if there's ever been a gadget just begging for color, it's the iPhone 3G and its glossy, plastic back. For $150, Colorware will give you that burst of backside color you've always wanted, and for $20 more, you can customize the button and frame. As for the matte around the screen, that can come in any color, too, as long as it's black. [colorware]

<![CDATA[Colorware's Matte Black iPhone Fools Friends, Bloggers]]> It's not the 3G iPhone, but Colorware's Stealth iPhone trades in the silver trim and brushed metal back for an entirely matte black motif. It's also extraordinarily expensive, weighing in at $675 and $775 to the stock model's $399 and $499. Colorware does throw in a matte black iPhone dock and pair of earbuds, but even that probably doesn't justify the increased cost. Then again, some people really love black. [Colorware]

Just do us a favor and don't hit brainstorm before you click buy. We saw some truly hideous stuff. [Colorware]

<![CDATA[BlackBerry Curve, Pearl and 8800 Get the Colorware Treatment]]> Colorware, the company that spruces up iPods, iMacs, iPhones, Zunes and Xbox 360s are coming back with a series of new items starting with BlackBerries on New Year's Eve. If you don't already have a BlackBerry Curve, Pearl or 8800 series, you can pick one up pre-colored directly from them. If you already do have one, you can send your current phone in for colorization. Then again, if you do have a BB, you're probably some kind of corporate "business dude" that might not want their phones accessorized in this way. You be the judge. <![CDATA[Colorware Colors Up iPhones in Style]]> Want your iPhone in a color other than silver? Apple can't help, but Colorware's got you covered. You saw what a good job they did on on Xbox 360, so there's no reason to think their quality will be anything but spectacular for the iPhone. You can send in your existing iPhone and have them color it up for $149, or buy a pre-colored 4GB for $649 and a 8GB for $749. Not a bad deal if you really want to get an even bigger head start on differentiating yourself from other cellphone users. But if you're being cheap, you can always get a $48 back replacement. <![CDATA[Colorware Extends Paintjobs to Zunes]]> Now that you saw what a great job colorware did on Xbox 360s, you'll be glad to know they now color Microsoft Zunes as well. You can either ship them your Zune and have them color it up for $74, or buy an entirely new one for $325.

This process unfortunately kills the doubleshot effect Zunes have, but you do gain the ability to make the back, front, wheels and buttons all different colors. Peep that crazy Christmas edition Zune I just made. Did you know I was a fashion designer before Giz?

<![CDATA[Hands-On Gallery: Colorware Makes Xbox 360 Elites Obsolete]]> If you're one of the few who wanted an Xbox 360 Elite more for the color than for the HDMI or the 120GB hard drive, then you're in luck. For around $99, you can get your own black (or blue or green or red or orange or whatever color you want) Xbox 360 that, in our opinion, looks even better than Microsoft's matte paint job.

As you can see from the gallery, not only can you have Colorware color your console, but they'll even paint the controllers as well. You have to ship them your console for the process—unless of course you buy an entirely new one—but it's sure to come back looking better than ever. Then, if you really want a 120GB hard drive, you can go ahead and install your own hard drive and save $100. As for HDMI, there's supposedly a faux HDMI cable due out for non-Elite Xbox 360s soon. No 1080p, but you do get to use HDMI.

Check out the gallery to see all the gorgeous details.

<![CDATA[Limited Edition Colorware Xbox 360 Commissioned for Simpsons Movie: Get Your Own]]> If you're a fan of the Simpsons or Xbox 360, take a look at this limited edition Simpsons Movie console. There's only 100 models being made, which are being given out as prizes in various competitions leading up to the movie's release on July 27.

However, we did get an insider tip that told us Colorware did the work for these. You know, Colorware, the same guys who paint Xbox 360s, PS3s, and Wiis for you? So you could technically get make your own Simpsons-ish console by ordering a yellow-colored one from Colorware. Just be prepared to go without Homer's head. But it does match in well with the EA Simpsons game that's coming soon too.

<![CDATA[Colorware Custom-Colors Consoles]]> If you still can't bring yourself to buy an Xbox 360 Elite—even though its HDMI gives you the best output—take a look at Colorware. Yes, the same people who are coloring up Sidekick 3s, MacBooks, and MacBook Pros are helping you enhance your Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3s.

Prices start at just $99 for a complete one color job, but start to get higher as you start to make garish neon green accents and a safety orange face. They'll even throw in a free controller coloring, but each subsequent one costs you $25. Or, if you don't actually have a console yet, you can buy one outright from these guys already colored.

Despite not really being into the coloring scene, we're actually warming up to the idea of having our consoles modded for just about a hundred bucks.

<![CDATA[ColorWare Teams with T-Mobile for Colorized Sidekick 3's]]> ColorWare, the company most well known for giving Apple products a little color, is expanding their territory by teaming with T-Mobile for customized Sidekick 3's. There will be 28 different colors available for new Sidekick 3 owners.

Don't fret, pre-existing SK3 owners, you can still send in your phone to get colorized for a fee of $99. I'm going to be brutally honest, this is pretty damn awesome. Good job, ColorWare. So, uh, can I get a hot pink and brown SK3 now, or what?

<![CDATA[Pimp Your MacBook, If You Dare]]> I've just been informed that, yes, people still "pimp" things out, no matter how silly the term seems. Uncrate put together a list of 10 items that will make your MacBook, um, really pimp, I guess. There's the usual assortment of software, like Windows XP, which may or may not have more street cred than Mac OS X, and Parallels Desktop, the VMware-like software that lets you run Windows alongside Mac OS X; the ubiquitous RAM upgrade; various carrying bags and cases also populate the list.

The most eye-catching, thereby the most "pimp," however, is the Colorware custom paint job. Just like in that MTV show about turning old piece of junk cars into painted over old piece of junk cars, Colorware will paint your MacBook for $450 with one of 28 different colors. If you want, they'll even mix paints for an extra $100. While you're at it, send 'em your Mighty Mouse or battery and for $20 they'll paint it for you.

There you go, pimp'd out MacBook. How proud you must feel.
