    @kosai: netflix streaming on the ps3 would directly compete with the blu ray drive that sony wants you to spend $30+ a movie on. the last thing sony wants right now is for optical media to become obsolete.


    i know i personally never want to have to use a disc again if i dont have to. i would much rather spend a monthly fee and be able to stream everything in HD, whenever i please. discs are a thing of the past, its time to move forward...not to mention it would cut back on piracy.

    @sti25impreza: well thier licensed partners, like LG and Samsung, have aded Netflix streamign to their latest Blu Ray players.
