I think it was the PS3 that people made fun of for being huge. The PSP has always been a tight little device, especially after the 2k and 3k revisions trimmed some weight.
@weatherman: naw. I have a 'fatboy' psp (1000, launch model). It was universally panned for it's size and cost, saying that it would never get market share. After about an hour of solid play you feel like you wrists have aged 30 years; you have 'the claw' of pain. I love it to death but it weighs a ton. Lots to love in it for capability, and its trim by comparison to an original DS, but thats not saying a hell of a lot. This new DS though confuses me. I liked that the DSi/DS lite were nice and slender, easy to use, good controls.
@x40sw0n: No exaggerations in your post. None what so ever.
I still have my 1000 and since getting GT for it I have on multiple occasions played it for more than 6 hours straight with absolutely no physical problems at all.
@MacBandit: Hey whats the fun of posting without a little exaggeration? I have to admit, I have slender girly-wrists and a family history of Tendinitis. Probably the angle I was playing at; hard to get in a comfortable position when riding the light rail during rush hour (if you can get a seat at all).
@x40sw0n: I had the 1000 and the 2000 as well, and I can't say I had a problem with either. But I'm an adult - which is the intended market for the PSP, I imagine. By comparison I find the DS difficult to use, and the screen is tiny and lo-res. I guess that means I'm the target market for the DS-LL but I can't imagine buying one since most of the games for the DS are oriented to children, and the screen is larger but still lo-res so it just means it looks even crappier.
I always like to think about the guy that typed all of it up, spellchecked the document, had his boss humiliate him for forgetting to list something, have it sent to print and then displayed for all to see at WWDC.
Then, after a long day at WWDC, he goes home and logs onto Gizmodo to see everyone talking about how they didn't read it, making him feel worthless.
If you made the agreement text long enough and just put in your own random text in there, I wonder how long it would take before someone actually read it and noticed.
Internet use over 3G: Testing conducted by Apple in May 2009 using preproduction iPhone 3G S units and software. Internet over 3G tests were conducted over a 1900MHz 3G network using dedicated web and mail servers, browsing snapshot versions of 20 popular web pages, and receiving mail once an hour. Kittens are great in barbecue sauce, but we recommend puppies instead. All settings were default except: Call Forwarding was turned on; the Wi-Fi feature Ask to Join Networks and Auto-Brightness were turned off. Battery life depends on the cellular network, location, signal strength, 3G connectivity, feature configuration, usage, and many other factors. Battery tests are conducted using specific iPhone units; actual results may vary. Studies show that it will last longer than a dildo used in tantric masturbatory techniques. Viewing pornographic material, though recommended on the iPhone's excellent display, is now monitored by AT&T and penalties may apply, depending on the laws in your area. We do not recommend calling neighborhoods primarily comprised of minority groups, as AT&T first and foremost vies to maintain a positive public image. If you think this is fucked up, perhaps you should've stayed with Verizon or some shit. Wi-Fi was enabled but not associated with a network. @Carradine Dies of a Stroke Film at 11: Lite: Oops, I guess I did not get the Mac/PC advertisement reference at first. Admittedly, I have not watched those after I decided how douchey to think they are.
i bet a nickel at&t made 'em post it so at&t doesn't get sued again. afraid of the 3g backlash from last year. everything in there seems to read that all claims were made and tested by apple.
(Mind you, the first words out of her mouth put her into the $2500 range with Apple anyway... I find those MS/HP ads much more believable though I wouldn't take an HP myself.)
Thank Jebus.... at work, we rely on USB thumb drives, and transfer a lot of data to/from. It gets annoying when you're waiting 10min for files to copy so we're always looking for faster ones. Perfect!
@corradokid: Yup, when you use these things as homes/mobile homes for virtual machines, transfer speeds are waaaay more important than capacity/price. And it is a pretty good bet that the stick you buy won't match the performance numbers the manufacturer provides (either higher or lower).
So these tests will benefit MANY professionals in both expected and unexpected ways...

That's their MO...
Kind of like the elimination ad:
...oops. Apple also has viruses, most definitely crashes, and waits months to consider fixing known exploits in their software. So I guess they've eliminated themselves too.

Is there something wrong with you people?
Let's start with Boomer, and work our way up from there. We also need to include Uhura's roommate, Troi, Dr. Crusher, Classic Uhura...

I agree. No way it should be bigger than Galactica. The original size makes more sense, IMHO.
That said, the movie really doesn't convey this sense of size.
