Every person I meet on the streets who smiles and says they liked what I brought to the show makes the whole thing worthwhile. I'll be back for every show, in the audience, but hopefully off-camera, as I'm not after exposure. You don't have to be good at something in order to have great fun at it. It sure seems like I have fans everywhere but every dancing star has millions of fans I guess. All the others have managers and agents and publicists and they are in that attention-getting world. All the others are the finest and friendliest people too. At least I got a chance to have great fun and play some pranks on national TV. I did work hard. I sweated all day every day. I don't learn dancing well. I loved everything about the show, and about life itself during this stint. If you try hard and overcome your fears, have a positive attitude, and the support of friends, you can do anything.
@stevewoz: The teletubbie in a gay pride parade remark was totally uncalled for; and at the same time, one of the funniest remarks I have ever heard in my limited exposure to reality shows. You handled it with much grace and dignity though. Good job all around!
@Diskoboy: it's all preference. I don't watch DWTS either, but I sure do think Lost is crap. So don't think you're all high and mighty for being gullible and falling into that show, but not some other awful show. I mean, they aren't even lost anymore are they? It's becoming like Prison Break (never watched that either) where it would have been better as a made for TV movie or mini-series. You can't be breaking out of prisons all the time or be lost anymore when your off the island (or in the past, or future or whatever nonsense is happening). I hope it turns out Dynasty style just to make everyone mad.
I hate Apple more than most (so flame me!), but this really was unfair. Hopefully it wasn't the judges who ended up deciding, but if it was, this really is absurd. But it's just a tv show, so whatev.
@Californian: Honestly regardless of what camp Woz came from, he is a tech mogul, there is no denying it. So why does Mac v. PC even need to factor into this?
We're all Nerds right? He is one of us (One of us! One of us! Gooble! Gobble!).
@eagles3: The linked Lindy Hop vid wasn't the best example for the sake of comparison tho, since the hallmark of the Lindy is typically considered to be the swing out, that vid was more/less of a swing in, but the differences are pretty obvious either way...
@stre: Honestly. After having the displeasure of watching him dance on that vile show, after being stuck at friend's house with his parents having the control of the remote,
I can only say that Woz looked like an enormous demented Ewok having a seizure. I can't say he got screwed. He's just not a good dancer.
You don't have to be a fanboi to appreciate Woz. The man is the geek's geek.
Just some tidbits about him:
In 1980, Apple went public and made Jobs and Wozniak multimillionaires. However, Jobs refused to allow some members of Apple to receive stock options, so Wozniak decided to share some of his options with the rest of the team by either giving it away for free or at a heavily discounted price.
His favorite video game is Tetris. In the 1980s he submitted so many high scores for the game to Nintendo Power that they would no longer print his scores, so he started sending them in under the alphabetically reversed "Evets Kainzow".
@Timish Boyko: Agreed, if all the fanbois aspired to be more like Woz I think the net would be a better place...
And there wouldn't be the ongoing struggles between Men and Fanbois... (or they at least wouldn't be as bad)
And before you flame me for my subtle comparison of Men and Fanbois, let me just say there are Men (and Women for that matter) in both the Mac and MS camps, but yeah being a fanboi makes you a boy, not a man.

The only thing on ABC I'll watch is 'Lost' and 'Better Off Ted'. And I'm sure Ted will be gone by next season.
