Just what did they encounter that was so shockingly depraved? This thing.

For when one night of crying in a cold shower isn't enough, the Jägermeister 6-Bottle Shot Cooler puts six bottles of the licorice from hell on ice, making them accessible through a spigot that looks suitably impossible to properly sterilize. At $120, the price must look a bit steep to most college freshman. But this is your future we're talking about, people. Spare no expense. This college certainly isn't going to drop itself out. <![CDATA[Coleman's Steel Belted Chest Cooler Isn't Messing Around]]> What do you get when you spend a whopping $173 on a cooler? Stainless steel and cold beers, that's what.

Coleman's new Steel Belted Chest Cooler is the granddaddy of coolers, featuring a secure rubber seal and robust insulation so your booze and meat stays cold. It's also got a leak-proof and rust resistant drain, which I'm sure is great. But at the end of the day, you're still spending $173 on a cooler. And I wonder if that money couldn't be better spent on more beer and meat. That's just me. [Amazon via Uncrate]

<![CDATA[Thermaltake's V1 Cooler is Half Artwork, Half Airy Lungs For Your CPU]]> Current gadget design tends to favor minimalism... but that's simply not true for this Thermaltake V1 cooler. Ohoho no. The Thermaltake designer who came up with this must've been an artist in a former career. Just look at it: so detailed, organically-shaped and glittery it's an artwork. And one you'd surely have to show off if you chose to mount it to your CPU. It's got a 12v fan, operates between 1,300 and 2,000 and is around 5-inches tall and 4-inches wide and will cost you around $60. [BBG via DVice]

<![CDATA[MacBook Pro Cooler Design Has USB Ports, Apple Fan]]> Although laptop coolers are all pretty mediocre when it comes down to cooling, this cooler design from Bostjan Majcen actually looks quite nice. The fan in the middle is hidden behind an Apple logo—which pleases the Apple fans—and the body itself has four USB ports and a tilted, lifted stand so you can see your screen better. If they made that fan in the middle powerful enough to actually do something other than blow slightly warm air gently on our crotch, we'd actually like one of these. [Yanko Design]

<![CDATA[Thermo MP3 Cooler Plays Tunes, Keeps Drinks Cold]]> Going on a trip? Forget those standard plastic coolers. This Thermo MP3 cooler can keep 16 cans at 40 degrees F, but that's not the best part. The best part is the two speakers on the front that can take in any MP3 player and pump out your tunes while you're out camping. All this by just plugging the Thermo into your car's cigarette adapter. Makes us all but forget the time we had to pee into a cooler because our dad wouldn't stop to let us go. [Skymall via Crave]

<![CDATA[Cooler Scoop Prevents Ice Hands]]> You know how you get the Han Solo shivers after you shove your arm into a cooler to find the last beer in a sea of Diet Pepsis? What you need is the cooler scoop, a scoop that proxys for your arm in order to dig out a drink without freezing to death. The only problems we could potentially have with this are the relatively short handle and the fact that the scoop only holds one, which means multiple trips are necessary—unlike the fishing net strategy we were picturing. <![CDATA[Eight Laptop Coolers Reviewed (Verdict: They're All Pretty Meh)]]> Dan "Huevos" Ackerman's very protective of his groin. As such, he needs the best laptop cooler money can buy. He takes out eight (who knew there were that many) laptop coolers and rates them on looks, size, and how they feel on his creamy thighs.

The winner in terms of temperature (measuring at the lowest 74.4 degrees C) was the Xpad Laptop desk. However, since the default temperature without cooling was 80.8 degrees, none of these coolers really performed that much above the others, which means that you should pick one you like to look at the most and go with it.

<![CDATA[Tote-A-Keg for the Go-Anywhere Alcoholic]]> Beer, Beer and More Beer—the best store, ever—is featuring this: the Tote-A-Keg. It's simple, yet amazing. This cooler will hold a 2.5 gallon pony keg. It uses CO2 to dispense the flowing beery goodness through an outer spout. The handle and wheels make this device easily the best accessory of any drinker. Take it to the BBQs this summer, tailgating or hell, just roll it along with your as you go from party to party on a Friday night. Unfortunately, the Tote-A-Keg totes a $150 price tag. Being an alcoholic is damn expensive, I should know, my Tote-A-Keg is on the way.

<![CDATA[Cruzin Cooler]]> Why didn't we find this sooner? As a person who just had a beer at 9am, this would be perfect! I'd hop on, roll down to the bodega, suit up with a few sixpacks, and head home, all while sitting on my comfortable Cruzin Cooler.

This cooler has a gas or electric motor and has a top speed of about 15mph. It can hold 24 12oz cans and comes with a 33cc 2-cycle motor or 39cc 4-stroke motor as well 300 and 500 Watt electric motor versions. They range from $349 to $499 and there's even a trailer for extra beer or your dog. Amazing. [Thanks, Philt]

<![CDATA[Boombox + Cooler = One Cool Geek]]> When I hit the beach, I like to bring my own tunes. Sure, not everyone likes Kraftwerk remixed with Toby Keith, but they soon learn to love the majesty of teuto-tronic techno mixed with the best from Honkytonk University.

Whereas they once threw stuff at me, I can now reach into my handy cooler/iPod dock, whip out a bottle of Stagger Home wine, and play redecorate the face of some lifeguard who's starting static. Then I can turn up my cooler and rock out even more. Plus who doesn't like that fabric! It's beautiful!
