how is a completely successful implementation of an innovative design a "fail"? that only fail here is your empty comment.

I side with you on this one... Fail...
@G-Ram: @nutbastard: Don't blame me i voted for Ron Paul edition:
Innovation? Apparently people do not learn from history...
The Tyrell-P34 6 wheeled F1 car was an utter failure.

so... taking an idea that previously failed and making it work properly ISN'T innovative? where you looking up your words?

Nope. It's certainly not innovation. It's just perfection of an old design.
And for the record, any which way you look at it, F1 races on 4 wheels for a reason. PERFORMANCE TO WEIGHT RATIO.
And F1 race teams have waaaaay more money to R&D than Corvini. If it was so great, all F1 cars would be racing on 6 wheels today.
They are not.

"It's certainly not innovation. It's just perfection of an old design."
Ok, here are some definitions of "innovation":
"Something new or improved"
"It is the process whereby ideas for new (or improved) products, processes or services are developed"
the phrase that comes up over and over again is "new or improved".
this is improved. this is innovative. this is an innovation.

and concerning F1, and their abandonment of the 6 wheeled car, F1 isn't in the business of novelty, whereas supercar makers are. so even if the benefits (grip, longer time between tire changes, handling) wont win any races, the weird factor comes into play in the private market. it has 6 frikkin wheels and for some cash happy billionaire out there, that's reason enough.
