I live 2 blocks away from these guys in Portland, Or. Ken, the owner, gave me a tour and he is a super nice guy. Sprocket, the shop cat, is the best shop cat ever. And their bikes are pretty cool too.

The really nice thing about wooden frames is that when the finish gets mucked up, all you have to do is sand it down and give a coat of urethane, or better yet, Tung oil.
As for fixies, when the world is flat, I will get a fixie, until then I will stick with my "mechanically complicated" Kona moutain.
@Gary_7vn: Totally agree with you on the fixie business. I finally got a compact on my roadie, and couldn't be happier. Although, there is a weekly game of fixie polo that the hipsters play near my house that I'd love to be a part of.
One of the fun things about the tough ride uphill on a bike is the subsequent speed and breeze in your face as you go downhill. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
Sure it's a pretty bike. I wonder who the intended buyer is. The racer crowd will stay with carbon fiber. If this is for a recreational rider, the boutique (low spoke count) wheels are fashionable, but not durable. They're OK if you weigh 150 pounds. The more over that you weigh, the more likely they are to catastrophically fail at an inconvenient time. The handle bars are too low for a recreational rider. I'd be more "reminded of simpler times" (as the advert tag line touts) with a less fussy 7-speed rear cluster, and friction shifting. Personally, I'd like to see more function with the pretty form.
@TrumanDemonassa: Alternately, you could stop criticizing the thing and just get on it and go for a ride. Or do you find criticizing a bicycle more fun than riding one?
