AT&T Cruisecast: 20 Satellite TV Channels For the Car

11/04/09
The driver doesn't benefit from the system - they can't watch the TV either way and there's no programming FOR adults (it's all cartoons - and crappy ones at that).
Only way in-vehicle satellite TV works is if you're going cross-country in an RV. And then I'd just stick with a prepaid DishNow system or else just use free-to-air (and accompanying hacks to get onto Dish). Or if I were smart, I'd stray towards RV parks with free WiFi and just Hulu all the shows I want to see when traveling. #gizmodoremainders

Just note: if you make a kid scrub the bathroom with nothing but a toothbrush and a cup full of cleaning agent, with strict supervision, it's suddenly not so fun to get in trouble. Grounding? Screw that. Their room's full of toys. Make em suffer!

Having them veggie out in a back seat of a car doesn't teach them discipline. Kids with no sense of discipline grow up to be adults with no discipline. Then they do stupid crap like post "first" comments on your favorite blog.

Yeah, your kids will be really disciplined, taking inspiration from some swearing, violent deadbeat parent that has nothing better to do that go to gizmodo.com and bitch about backseat TV.
Yeah, you'll be the one with the disciplined kids! LMAO!!!

Yes, maybe SOMETIMES it's okay, but for the most part, problems can be solved without violence or freaking out. If you deal with your child's problems logically, that's how they'll learn how to deal with their problems down the road. If you deal with your child's problems violently, most likely, that's how they'll deal with their problems down the road. Or they'll become very timid and antisocial, because they're scared to make mistakes.
That's just my views though, lol feel free to flame away.

This shit seriously pisses me off. Interact with your children. Having TV's in the car, for the sole purpose of entertaining children, is the reason many of todays youth feel so entitled to things. Read in the car. Listen to the radio. Put a book on tape in the stereo, and play that. Do something constructive. /rant
