AT&T LG Vu Specs, Images Leaked

The chaps at Phone Arena have managed to gain some leaked press shots of AT&T's LG Vu, and it is looking tastier than before. The Vu will come in two primary versions; the CU915 will lack a mobile TV antenna, whilst the CU920 will be supplied with mobile TV antenna, which will support AT&T's new, streaming TV service. Checkout the gallery for some more great shots, then jump for the specs. More »

AT&T LG Prada Spy Shots

This isn't the KE850 LG Prada that we played with before, but a new LG CU920 Prada version that's heading to AT&T—which means there will be two touchphones battling it out on one network. Our source tells us that it's very light, but comes with an antenna (!) that's easy to snap off. It's supposedly 3G, but took a long while to load up Gizmodo (probably because of our huge images). It's got zooming like the iPhone when browsing, but takes a couple steps instead of the iPhone's one. Check out the non-fuzzy pics in our gallery after the jump.

The LG Trax CU575 we showed you last month is finally available to AT&T customers. The 3G HSDPA phone replaces the CU500, and be compatible with AT&T's new over-the-air non-DRM eMusic service as well as Video Share. [AT&T]

Hands-On AT&T's Video Share

I played around with a few phones using AT&T's new Video Share service, which requires UMTS HSDPA, so it's not live everywhere. New York just got it this week, LA should have it by September. If you don't know what it is, it's a way for one person to show the other person streaming video during a call. Although one-way video streaming seems less logical than two-way, I can tell you that it's fun, and it seems like it would be surprisingly useful. The lag wasn't terrible, and you can carry on the conversation in speakerphone or on Bluetooth earpiece so that you can watch the action. But you have to have the right phone. (iPhone need not apply.) More »

LG CU500 Slim Clamshell Forthcoming

Looks like LG is getting into the slim cellphone act with its LG CU500, a global 3G clamshell it will be providing for Cingular. It's a quad-band GSM/EDGE and tri-band WCDMA phone with a swiveling 1.3-megapixel camera. And look at those dedicated keys for music on the front cover, too. It was approved by the FCC last week, but there's not much more information about it yet. It's expected to launch soon. More »

US Gets HSDPA First, Plus Phones

Can you believe it? We in the US actually beat Asia and Europe to the punch on HSDPA, a new WCDMA/UMTS-based 3G technology, now only being offered by Cingular. Ok, so we only have a data card for laptops so far, but Samsung and LG have both promised phones to go with this service later this month. Look for the Samsung ZX10 and the LG CU320, both with swivel megapixel cameras and a microSD memory card slot—and the ability to handle simultaneous voice and data connections. The CU320 will also come with Bluetooth and tri-band GSM, while the ZX10 lacks Bluetooth but comes with quad-band GSM. More »

CES Unveiled: LG's Style-i and Speakerphone

Never one to disappoint, LG had some fun gear on hand at Unveiled. The Bluetooth Style-i is best described as a remote control for your handset. It's an earpiece and keypad without any of the innards—it just connects to the phone for that stuff. It doesn't clip on the ear, but it's about the size and weight (.79 oz.) of a fountain pen. There is an OLED display for caller ID and redial. It supports three-way and call waiting. And it gets 8 hours of talk time. There is even a headset jack in case you want to just use it like that.
