4X optical zoom? Is that a joke? I'd rather have none.

When are companies going to understand that people (at least me) don't want optical zoom. I want a thin camera (doesn't have to be as thin as SONY's Ts) with at least 10X OPTICAL zoom.

@berbar: I'm afraid you'll just have to learn to live with the caveats of having such a tight form factor. Can't always have your cake and eat it too.

Why? I mean seriously why would I need another gadget to surf the web? Oh wait let me guess it does not compare to the mobile browser on the IPHONE? why bother.

@Yadah: I don't give a lizard queef about web browsing, but being able to link up to my Photobucket and Youtube account straight on the device IS rather nice...however, as I'd likely not have a hotspot outside, it's not that important.

The specs however, are also worth a second look. Had this been some low-rent brand I'd ignore the 10mp and 4x optical zoom, but Sony delivers on the imagery I find.
