There are plenty of projector clocks on the market, but many of these are shaped like Batman and confined to bedroom use. However, Brando is bucking the trend with a projector clock designed to be used in the car. Naturally, the size of the date and time displayed is dependent on how far back you mount the device, but the bottom line is this: if you need to spend $32 on a device that projects and magnifies the time in your car, it is probably time to put the keys down and pick up a pair of glasses. Available in five colors, the Volcano T7 is the latest DAP player. Reminiscent of a memory stick and with a small OLED display, it's available in both 2GB and 4GB versions. There's also a USB 2.0 port, an FM radio, and an equalizer. There's also a recording function, both for voice and radio. Now available in Europe in five colors—white, black, pink, blue and chocolate—the Volcano T7 costs the equivalent of $48 for the 2GB and $78 for 4GB. [Akihabara News]

You get up to four extra lines, but each line has unlimited calling, roaming, SMS, MMS and IMing. Flip Mino: A Smaller, Better Flip Camcorder for $180

The Flip Mino, a pint-sized but more powerful companion to the so-easy-your-grandma-will-be-a-YouTube-star Ultra, is now official. We already saw the $180 mini-cam in a fuzzy picture, but now we know that although it carries 2GB of on-board flash for 60 minutes of VGA-quality recording like the Ultra, it's 40% smaller—a scant 4” x 2” x 0.6”. The Mino distances itself further by adding a Li-ion battery and a flat back-panel with touch-sensitive buttons (rather than the Ultra's AAs and push buttons). The Flaik Armband Tracks Your Airtime on the Ski Slopes

The Flaik armband promises to maximize your bragging rights on the ski slopes by recording jump airtime using a GPS system embedded in an armband. It can also keep tabs on measuring speed, distance, and altitude—data that is automatically uploaded to Flaik servers and can be accessed anytime via a web-enabled device. There is even a social and safety component included in the system that will allow you to track friends and their stats and receive SMS messages when you wander beyond the resorts boundaries. The Flaik armband managed to nab this year's Australian International Design Award, but there is no word yet on when we might see it in production. Just a few weeks ago I showed you the Infection watch, which was very much in the vein of befuddling time display that importer Tokyo Flash has become famous for. But now there're the new Scramble and Progression watches from Nekura, and it looks like their LED-backlit LCD displays are slightly more straightforward, if still funky. You can even chose the illumination color from a choice of six, or go for multicolor changing. Those straps are in engraved stainless steel too, and are "self-adjusting" somehow. Wearing Bluetooth headsets is always a risky fashion statement, but it may be that the slenderness of Bluetrek's Metal headset reduces the fashion-geek effect. It looks even skinnier than Apple's offering, being a scant 0.16-inches deep, and weighing a mere 0.01-pounds. Nevertheless, the skinny earbud-like device will give you five hours talk and seven days of standby.
